Seems as if Loreen will be opening the first semi with the children's choir performance of Euphoria similar to her MF final one. Shame as I'd have liked to have seen her live! I've been reading that Benny and Bjorn with Avicii will be opening the final. Is this just some people performing to a song they've written or will it literally be those three on stage together performing? Because the latter would be a HUGE coup.

As far as I've heard, the song will be sung by all of the participants in the final.

Cannot believe the final won't contain a performance of Euphoria though, absolutely dreadful decision!

Agreed, I was really looking forward to it! :( I hope she'll still be involved in some capacity...
I think it's perfectly fair Loreen is opening the first Semi. After all it's the real beginning of Eurovision, as opposed to everyone thinking the Final is Eurovision <_< So tough luck to all the i-don't-watch-semis-eww bitches who will tune in on Saturday to see Loreen and she won't be there OOPS.
According to ESC Forum, Aftonbladet is reporting that

Loreen will be performing her new single as part of the interval act of the final!

I will die if this happens

New Eurovision app has launched with lots of exciting features!!!

The Eurovision Song Contest has never been closer! Moments ago, we've launched the contest's official app. It is the first time that as a viewer of the contest, you will be able to vote for your favourites through an app, which is available for iOS and Android users.

The app provides news updates, photos and videos 365 days a year, and allows users to download their favourite songs of this year's contest. A highlight is the app's second-screen functionality, providing viewers with live updates during the shows about the contestants, their songs, opening- and interval acts, as well as the results.

After all songs have been performed, you can vote for your favourites via telephone and SMS, as well as via the app. Your vote via the official app will be rewarded with a video response message from the contestant backstage.

"With this app, we bring the Eurovision Song Contest closer to the viewer than ever before, adding a new dimension to viewing and voting," says Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the EBU.

The EBU worked with Member Broadcasters in Sweden (SVT), Germany (NDR) and the Netherlands (TROS) too, besides English, offer the app in Swedish, German and Dutch. In the future, the EBU expects to offer the app in more languages.

Countries from semi final 1 whose odds are mostly shortening (at multiple bookmakers) and becoming more likely to do well seem to be:

Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Montenegro.

Countries from semi final 1 whose odds are mostly drifting (at multiple bookmakers) and becoming less likely to do well seem to be:

The Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Estonia and Cyprus.

The other countries are not seeing as much change in comparison to the ones above.

News regarding the interval act for the second semi final from ESC Xtra:

The latest news to be announced today by Sveriges Television (SVT) is that two of Sweden’s biggest pop stars will be performing a medley of their hits as the interval act of the second Semifinal on May 16.

Darin and Agnes, along with musicians, choir and dancers on stage, are two of Sweden’s current biggest pop stars across the European continent and will be performing songs from their repertoires to entertain both the crowd and the audiences at home with their pop classics.
