May 9, 201312 yr The whole thing is being turned into a glorified Melodifestivalen, just like I expected  European viewers probably won't remember Carola or know who Darin is! Great for the fanz though!
May 9, 201312 yr Thinking about it, a better interval act would be a Swedish winners medley, split into five parts; Loreen opens with the final minute of Euphoria which segues into Charlotte Perrelli performing the key change/chorus to Take Me To Your Heaven before The Herreys launch into a chorus of Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley. Carola comes storming onto stage to sing the final minute of Fångad Av En Stormvind before ABBA sensationally reform to perform Waterloo in full followed by a 7 minute medley of hits including Take A Chance On Me, Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia in a nod to the Steps et al 1999 medley but finishing instead with The Winner Takes It All. I bet it would happen if Christer had his way. Imagine the viewing figures!
May 10, 201312 yr Expect a full-blown gai coma throughout the whole Europe / in Friends arena if that happens.
May 10, 201312 yr Expect a full-blown gai coma throughout the whole Europe / in Friends arena if that happens. Friends Arena won't care :o Malmö Arena on the other hand...
May 10, 201312 yr And look who the true pedant here is. You knew what I meant  Edited May 10, 201312 yr by Paveux
May 10, 201312 yr Wouldn't it be better if international superstar, Agnes was performing in the final instead of washed up hag, Carola, propelling a certain song back into the UK charts, and a top 10 debut for All I Want Is You. *Delusional*
May 10, 201312 yr 84EfZjeIYI0 At 18:50 you can see the Danish postcard and at 20:50 there's one of the three films Petra has prepared for a look back at ESC history. She's gonna be a fantastic host!
May 10, 201312 yr Author These postcards look stunning, I love the concept that they're running with and how they appear to have been executed. Oh and I'm not sitting through all of that but is that the press conference where the EBU confirmed three of the big 5 will perform in the first half of the final and the other two in the second half? Just read it on Keith Mills' twitter feed (still plenty interested but reporting from home then?)
May 11, 201312 yr Author Spokespersons announced "yay". Aside from Yohio for Sweden, the UK have Scott Mills again, Ireland is Nicky from Westlife, Anmary for Latvia (AlexRange DEAD), Alsou in Russia, Tooji for Norway and topped off by Lena for Germany WOO. Israel taking their time to formally announce they'll be using the same man as always.
May 11, 201312 yr Loreen is releasing her new single 'We Got The Power' next week, but I don't think there's any space left for her to perform that as all of the interval and opening acts have been announced. :( Her website says she is on the show on 14th and 18th May in her events section, so maybe she'll perform it on the final even though Carola and Bjorn, Benny and Avicii have already been announced. But that probably refers to her just giving the trophy to the winner or something!
May 11, 201312 yr Kleerup ^_^ Of course! Well maybe there'll be a Requiem Solution performance to compensate.
May 11, 201312 yr Apols for the double post but there's a programme called 'How To Win Eurovision' on BBC Three tonight at 9:50 presented by Greg James and Russell Kane for anyone interested.
May 12, 201312 yr Apols for the double post but there's a programme called 'How To Win Eurovision' on BBC Three tonight at 9:50 presented by Greg James and Russell Kane for anyone interested. This was a fantastic programme! Two hours all about Eurovision was just fantastic! Great to see the likes of Jemini, Javine, Daz, Scooch and Josh all taking part too!
May 12, 201312 yr Author The only thing I didn't like, although not unexpected, was them putting Blue in the Hall of Shame. It was 5th in the televote!!! :(
