oh dear another dodgy remake on tonight on Channel 4, suppose its only worth watching if you really need to see Tom Cruise in what looks like a Breckin Meyer Gimpmask :lol:

It's not that bad, but it does kinda fall down when you compare it to "Abre Los Ojos".... The remake tends to wander and go off on tangents and there's too much showiness from the Hollywood stars (ie, Cruise, Diaz..) as if the film was just made to stroke their egos....

Yeah, but it's only quite like though. Im love the opening with the use of Radiohead and Tom Cruise wandering through a deserted Times Square, sets up a quite surreal air.... Which, unfortunately, the rest of the film kinda fails to live up to....

 

Check out "Abre Los Ojos", the original Spanish film which is vastly superior and doesn't have any of the Hollywood rubbish....

you can get the spanish version quite cheap these days too for people who havent seen it.
