January 4, 201312 yr I was hoping Richard Parker was secretly looking from the bushes at the end :( Me too. And when he started going on about saying goodbyes properly etc. IT JUST CUT ME! :snif:
January 11, 201312 yr How a theatre in Paris has decided to show the film: http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/321034_487883917916515_2075422513_n.jpg Amazing. Take me there NOW.
January 11, 201312 yr It'd be a bit uncomfortable after a while but INCREDIBLE at the same time. SHIT THIS IS SO GOOD.
January 12, 201312 yr This, along with Beasts of the Southern Wild, was probably 1 of my favorite movies of 2012...which surprised me bc I read the book in high school and was not much of a fan tbh. But it was so visually stunning. The shot with the whale? God, so beautiful
January 12, 201312 yr Saw this two weeks ago, and I agree with some that not much happens - but that doesn't make the story or the film as a whole less engaging. Excellent film!
January 29, 201312 yr How a theatre in Paris has decided to show the film: http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/321034_487883917916515_2075422513_n.jpg Amazing. Take me there NOW. Do they plan to make such shows in other countries?
January 30, 201312 yr Some seriously INCREDIBLE visuals in this - the whale and all the scenes with the boat and the sky and that odd little mindf*** daydream thing. I did think it flagged a little in the middle - about 5/10 minutes too much was spent with him/Richard Parker along I thought, though that's not a massive complaint and didn't detract from my enjoyment too much. The scene with the boat sinking was brilliantly done and so so believable and brilliantly acted by all. I expected what happened at the end, but it still felt very satisfying all told and the soundtrack was magical - especially the theme introduced in the opening scene which plays throughout. 8/10
January 30, 201312 yr Oops I never got round to posting my thoughts on this (Devastated as I'm sure you all were). Wonderful in so many ways - some flawless visuals, the opening sequence in the zoo was amazing. It did drag a little in the middle, but it was generally brilliant. I was sure that the tiger and the boy were going to be together and it was leading to a sad type ending of them having to part, so I was really quite surprised at the tiger just leaving him, but it was interesting.. I have the book now as well and look forward to reading it!
April 10, 201312 yr I dont like this movie at all. It was the wastage of time for me, nothing is sensible and adventures in that movie.
