So along with the new series of the X Factor, the second series of Red or Black? begins on Saturday night! It will be broadcast before and after the X Factor. The show has seen many changes after the first series was criticised by many (even though I loved it!)

 

This time, all of the shows are pre-recorded and will only feature eight contestants per show instead of starting off with the thousands they did last time. Furthermore, more of the games will require more skill from the contestant instead of purely relying on luck.

 

Do you think this will make the show better, and will you even be giving the show another go after perhaps not enjoying it last year?

 

Also, special guests such as Cover Drive and Little Mix will apparently be appearing on the first couple of shows!

I'm really liking this new format so far!! Looking forward to seeing Cover Drive perform! :D

I am forgiving this show all of its previous crimes (charge: being awful) giving they are letting Cover Drive perform. *.*

Loved the performance of 'Explode'!! I'll be downloading that in a minute! :D

Little Mix on next week's show. If the performance is good, they'll definatley double their sales.

Unfortunately, Red or Black didn't have a massive impact ratings-wise.

 

The first programme (before the X Factor) secured 3.25m (19.6%) at 7.15pm. However, it fared better later on with 3.59m (17.3%) at 9.30pm (+1: 230k/1.9%).

 

Still better than many alternatives they could put on either side of the X Factor though!

OMG! My jaw dropped when it ended up on red! I thought he had won it then! :o So so close!

 

EDIT: He's won it!! That was very dramatic, so happy for him! :cheer:

I've just watched last week's shows on record! Biggest prize winner in UK TV history! :o

 

I can't believe how close it was, the way it rattled round the centre tube area and then landed on the right colour! I thought he'd lost it! Really happy for him, you could tell how much it meant!

Ryan, ANYONE would be happy with that amount of money! I would personally would have ran naked through the crowd if I won that.
