I hope Molly Sanden returns! I doubt Danny will again surely? I wouldn't be surprised if Helena Paparizou is involved too, she's always said she'd like to represent Sweden I think.

Helena is thrown around EVERY YEAR, and doesn't ever seem to happen. Maybe she will one of these days, I don't know.

I'd like to hope Danny would come back, but if a song as insanely good as Amazing can't win, then I totally understand him not wanting to come back and lose again. :(

Helena has said she doesn't want to do ESC again yet so won't compete in Melodifestivalen, not for a while anyway.

I'd love Måns Zelmerlöw to take part again, it's been too long!

Any news on when tickets are released?
SVT have announced that 2,549 songs have been submitted for Melodifestivalen, which scandipop say is the lowest since 2002.
Lowest in over ten years? I wouldn't have expected that, thought that everyone would be going for it since they're hosting.
I suppose Euphoria was always going to be a hard entry to beat, so maybe some songwriters are holding back their best offerings for a couple of years. Therefore, I'm not overly surprised song submissions are down, but I expect the artists that are drafted in to sing the songs will be mostly of a high calibre.

That's still an impressive figure for a country of Sweden's size.

Could you imagine if the BBC got even 5% of that???

5% ? where can I read a full article ?

It was hypothetical.

As it is I'm sure they'd get considerably more than that.

I hope Danny submits again...and this time makes it! Like he should've made it the past two Melodifestivalens. Freaking Eric Saade and Loreen.
It amuses me that people can see a country get its best result in over a decade followed by one of the most resounding Eurovision victories of all time and still say that they chose the wrong songs...

Only in a matter of opinion.

Loreen obviously did better than Danny ever would have done - but that doesn't mean you can't think Amazing deserved to win MF on the basis of you preferring the song?

As much as I love In The Club and Amazing, there is no doubt that Sweden sent the right songs. Danny would not have done as well as either Eric or Loreen.

I prefer Amazing to Euphoria but the right song won at the end of the day.
