So both presenters of Melodifestivalen have been caught up in separate racism scandals. Gina for allegedly posting anti-sematic images on her blog. Danny had a video posted of him and his trainer at the gym, by the trainers girlfriend (I am assuming she caught them having sex and wanted revenge or something) of him failing at some gym equipment and saying "yeah only the blackies can do it" or words to that affect. So yeah it's going well for them.

I'm such a flop, didn't even see the entries had been announced until today! Very excited to hear Mary N'Diaye, Jenny Silver, Amanda Fondell and obviously Erik & Tone especially!

I have to echo the sentiment that it doesn't seem as strong this year; but then I haven't heard of a lot of them so to be honest that's natural. You can't judge what you haven't heard!

I was hoping since Sweden is hosting, this would bring out the big hitters.

WHERE IS THE RETURN OF A*TEENS and BWO.

I know one of the guys in BWO is doing something else, but I would have LOVED to have seen the return of the A*Teens, apart they suffered, Marie's done this like what, twice and failed? Sara did it once and crashed and burned as well.

Too bad Agnes just released another album, she could have done quite well with the right song..

Alcazar, Mans.. so many others.. and we won't get to see Danny fail a third time either :(

A bit more than 'one of the guys' - given you've got Alexander Bard reforming basically the original BWO in Army of Lovers (and Martin Rolinski going solo anyway) then there's not really much point in hankering after a BWO return!

I don't think we need to be too worried about name power. The potential for quality and new big names here is huge...

Agreed. Army Of Lovers >>> BWO any day of the week. They're even known in America. As for A*Teens, who cares tbh.

Umm...pretty sure Army Of Lovers were much bigger than BWO ever were.

Both Army Of Lovers and BWO managed multiple UK top 75 hits, but the former have more of a cult following and were indeed bigger worldwide! Bard featured on Alcazar's Crying At The Discotheque too.

The news that Pernilla, Hanna and Jenny will be performing under the name 'Swedish Housewives' has REVOLUTIONISED my world *.*

There's been a change for Andra Chansen. All eight songs will be performed at the start, then there'll be a vote with the top 4 going on to the duels. 1st and 4th will be one duel, 2nd and 3rd another. SVT said this is to prevent two popular songs fighting against one another.

How about just no duels at all?

Ugh, Banan's totally going DTG :manson:

Additionally a JOY TO KNOW that Pavel's confident predictions of an af Ugglas victory have been confirmed as almost total bullshit by that running order, as most people had expected :D She'll be lucky to make it to AC I reckon, lightning isn't striking twice there.

Sadly, you aren't the only one on this forum who's amused by nose picking and complaints about the Swedish tax system.

I'm not amused by him, but I quite enjoyed Sean Den Forste Banan. Sure, it was novelty, but it was a fun sort of novelty, with a catchy hook.

I hope this is much the same.

I'd have probably been all over Sean den forste Banan had, say,

No, can't think of anyone.

Not really. It just confirms that the producers favour a Janet vs Ulrik narrative, just as they favoured a Darin vs Jöback one in 2010.

Precisely, Thomas Di Leva ended a semi this year - he didn't even make it through to AC. Running orders might speak volumes for producers' preference, but doesn't speak for the general public.

I wouldn't rule David Lindgren out myself.
