Sticks and stones.

Eboue as well should have only been given a yellow for that.

I think Real Madrid will go on and win the champions league now.

Roy Keane must be the Man United version of Mark Lawrenson. Should really be sticking up for the club, but uses every opportunity to throw a dig in instead

I wouldn't really say it's throwing a dig? I would say he's being honest/ not deluded.

Great result for Newcastle getting a 0-0 draw against Anji Makhachkala, they really needed to score though.

Urgh at Chelsea getting beat from Steaua Becuresti, we really are quite awful away from home.

I wonder who's going to win the Europa league. My bets are on Tottenham.

I think Chelsea have just about given up playing for the manager. It's obvious there are some massive tensions there. Think they'll struggle to get 3rd/4th in the league.

Spurs got to be favourites for the Europa, although Fenerbache, definitely by dark horses.

So all three English clubs through, draw imminent. Can probably rule Newcastle out but a Chelsea-Spurs final looks a distinct possibility and would be interesting tactically.

Champions League Draw:

Malaga vs. Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid vs. Galatasaray

PSG vs. Barcelona

Bayern Munich vs. Juventus

Odd that Dortmund look more likely to make the semis than Bayern given their domestic form.

Should be quite straight forward for Real Madrid and Dortmund

Barcelona and Bayern will also be favourites, but it depends which team turns up. Bayern were awful in the second leg vs. Arsenal whilst Barcelona weren't great vs. AC Milan in the first

Europa League Draw:

Chelsea vs. Rubin Kazan

Tottenham vs. FC Basel

Fenerbahce vs. Lazio

Benfica vs. Newcastle

I think that Chelsea will win the Europa League either by beating Tottenham in the final or by knocking them out in the semi final and going on to beat whoever they face in the final.

Who are you and what have you done with Barcelona?

Messi looked really poor. They've been beaten by a superior side.

Have a feeling the Barcelona dominance will be coming to an end. Still 08-11 Barca was unreal.

Messi's just injured, that's all.

But goes to show they're not on the same level when he's not playing/not playing well.

I still think they'll come close to winning this tie, just like against Milan.

Bayern's pressing is just different class, Barca don't do it like they did under Pep. It means that they retain their fitness better over a season (hence winning La Liga at a canter) but they can't win ties by defending from the front like they used to.

They probably should have won it three times between 2009 and 2011. The Inter side that beat them in '10 was on paper stronger than Chelsea's last season, yet had to do the same job because Barca were that much stronger at the time.

Weirdly Real or Dortmund might do a better job against Bayern since they're far more accustomed to sitting back and hitting them on the break. Bayern arguably have it psychologically over all three of the other semi finalists now, though.

I'd rather Bayern didn't win it at Wembley given the lack of English representation in the last eight and how aggrieved they felt after losing it last year.

Then again, possibly worth it just because the idea of them then losing to Chelsea again in the Super Cup would be hilarious.

Messi's just injured, that's all.

Don't think this Barcelona side will beat Bayern 4/5 to nil at the Nou Camp. Bayern are a different class to AC Milan at the moment.

Barcelona's transfer policy is just odd, and it's why they're in this mess. They buy players they don't need. Fabregas does more harm than good to the side.

Fabregas only really works as an alternative to Messi when the latter is injured. Hence he would have been quite a smart selection tonight if he was pressing properly.
