01. 'Oops! I Did It Again' (05.5) [i like how this wasn't a straight cover and they changed the production on this, but just like her BOMT cover, there's something missing from this. I think it's more due to the fact Rachel's voice just doesn't suit doing a Britney song.]

---

02. 'Hold It Against Me' (06.5) [A very predictable cover, but it works. I like it and it's possibly my favourite Brittany/Heather song.]

---

03. 'Womanizer' (04.0) [Not liking this. It's not terrible, but it's not very good either. I'm GUTTED this didn't get a proper, glee, acapella-'Toxic' style reworking! It would have been MAGIC.]

---

04. '3' (07.0) [This is really, really good. The acousticy production is a surprisingly good reworking for this song. I can see this growing on me.]

---

05. 'Gimme More' (06.0) [This is already growing on me. I think after the initial shock and disappointment of it, it's sort of become a decent enough rehash.]

---

06. 'Boys'/'Boyfriend' (07.5) [it's growing on me! I love how 'Boys' is my least favourite Brit single, but I think Glee have definitely helped it grow on me, thanks to this mash up. It's great!]

---

07. '(You Drive Me) Crazy'/'Crazy' (08.0) [Properly love this and I think it's a pretty fantastic mash up. Rather lovely.]

---

08. 'Everytime' (08.5) [...and finally, 'Everytime'. This is what I was hoping for. It's obviously not a patch on the original, but it's a very solid effort from them!]

The songs have been released onto an EP! I don't know if it's getting a physical release, but it's good to see they're bothering with albums this season (after only three last season!)

I'll be buying! I enjoy them all, minus 'Everytime'... which isn't bad, just boring.

^ Agreed.

'3' is amazing and Jenna sounds amazing. 'Womanizer' is great & Unique is FIERCE.

They all sound so CHEAP. Like the Karaoke versions of popular songs on iTunes that are released before the official version.
This episode was great. I properly loved it. I loved the whole Brittany meltdown being similar to Britney's and I loved how they celebrated that and turned it out to be a positive and that she "came back" from it all, more successful than ever. The whole salute to Britney was very well done and tied in with real story plots etc.. excellently. Probably my favourite tribute episode since 'Rumors'.

I was unsure at first but really enjoyed it by the end. Wasn't keen on the 'Womanizer' performance as I cringe when they lead into a performance in the way but Brittany's meltdown was great and so is the New York story. Their version of 'Oops I Did It Again' is growing, especially after seeing the episode, it's one of my favourite Britney songs but I was unsure on the Glee arrangement to begin with. 'Everytime' was my personal fave from the ep even if they didn't really change it up but Marley is my new favourite character and I loved all the scenes they played during it and Rachel painting over the heart. GO GET BRODY.

Not the best cover versions (with the exceptions of "Oops..." and "Everytime"). The story was very well played-out though, the real Britney parallels were great too (my favourite being the boy shouting "Leave Brittany alone!"). The Jake being a womaniser storyline seemed to appear out of nowhere, but I'm glad that Marley didn't go with him in the end - she's far too good for him. It was nice to see Santana and Puck again but why is Emma suddenly a recurring character?! :o

Rachel was so sexy in this episode though (as was Brody). As sad as it is to see Rachel's heartache over Finn, they'd be very good together.

Hated it. More shade was thrown, it was ridiculous.

I enjoyed the 'Oops' and '3' performance though.

What I'm confused at... is the concept that the episode was a salute to Britney? Yet they made a character MOCK one of the darkest times in Britney's life just so she could make a comeback? I don't think that was particularly fair or reasonable?

I did like Brittany's meltdown and it was played out well but I do agree it was a bit unfair on Britney to drag it all back up when she's in the best place she's been in years right now.

Aside from that though, a great episode. 3 was the best song of the episode easily,a fantastic twist on an already great song

I think it was a celebration in that even though you have real dark times, you can always come back from it, feeling stronger and better (like Britney has). I thought it was a little in bad taste to start with, but by the ending it all made sense as to why they did all that. Which is why I really, really liked it. It WAS a celebration to Britney and nothing bad was exactly said about her.
It actually got me thinking. I think they could easily do a live episode, where everything is live. It'd be interesting, especially for a show like Glee.

I'd LOVE a live episode, it would probably be easier for them to do it now as they can cut between Rachel in New York & New Directions whilst the other is getting changed/getting in place for the next scene but I don't know how feasible it would actually be, they'd have to do it twice because of the timezones so it's much easier for a half hour comedy (such as '30 Rock' which has done two live episodes).

From what I heard it sounded like the raunchiest episode of the show. And it got a complaint..... from Britney's manager.

Britney, nor anyone from her team liked it. It also got a complaint from her assistant/friend Felicia Culotta who said she would no longer support or watch the show.

I'm sure Glee are devastated.

They are, they told me their selves on our lunch date yesterday. :o
