First single: Controversy

 

So excited for her return (shock!). Perfectionist was one of my favourite albums of 2011. Hopefully this sets her up properly after the way she was handled last time.

I love her, and I like the sound of this but something tells me it's just never going to happen for her sadly. I mean, she really tried everything to make it the last time around, and by rights she should have done given all the big names involved with her.

I can't believe this USELESS nobody is STILL trying!

I don't see why she's a 'useless nobody'... The music is good, the only thing she's lacking is the commercial appeal which these days doesn't really account for much.

 

Cherrytree doesn't base their label around how much their artists sell anyway (unless you're Frankmusik but that's a different story)

 

Despite the fact that she's reinvented herself so many times to the point that we don't know whether this is marketing or not, she's come a long way from the 'Don't Play Nice'/Verbz days.

lmao i do have a teeny soft spot for her (because she tries so hard) but she is SUCH a flop

Not at all what I expected but it's growing on me. It will do for a viral single.

I do have to say I love it, slightly Azealia Banks in places actually :o

I always wonder what's up with her pseudo American accent.

So I'm now LOVING 'Controversy'. So good. 'Perfectionist' is a really great album and I wish she had more success with it!

She's so unlikeable! There's a video of her performing outside this office and she just comes across cocky and so try-hard. I'm out I'm afraid. And I loved the début.

Anybody heard the recently leaked Heart To Break? Apparently it was a reject from the Perfectionist era but it's one of the best things I've heard from her! She sold the gorgeous backing track to Saint Lou Lou (Swedish duo sent to BJSC recently) for Maybe You so this song won't be commercially released now.

 

Problem:

She flopped because she's British, if she was American she would've been all over the place....

Shocked so many people on here don't seem to care about this anymore after 'The Perfectionist' thread getting so much attention. If people haven't listened to this album yet they NEED to, it is absolutely brilliant and I can see me even preferring it to 'The Perfectionist' very soon, the production is so much stronger. 'Devil's Don't Fly', 'Marlboro Lights', 'Television', 'Rabbit Hole' and 'Trouble' are my main highlights other than the singles.
