Video premieres Monday. It's dawned on me today with a few more listens that if anything this actually reminds me more of N*E*R*D than it does JT/NSYNC. None are bad comparisons to have though! Their iTunes Festival set was f***ing awesome last night too! Guess they'll never please some people simply because they're not One Direction/The Wanted who are cracking America and therefore better BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Your loss!

I normally like them, but this is just bloody awful. This is Justin Timberlake.. ten bloody years ago. He sounds nothing like that anymore.

 

Judging by this and The Wanted's effort, I don't think One Direction have to come out with much to put a nail in the coffin for the other two big boybands at the moment.

I saw the title and thought of Rihanna. Do the lyrics go...

 

"you wanna make me think, that you're the hottest girl in the world, like you're the only one that I'll ever love, like I'm the only one who knows your heart, hottest girl in the world...".

I can't see The Wanted getting another GYC type charting performance in America tbh, I think its a one-off and they will have a bump back down to earth soon. However even if 1D brought out a cover of 'Wheres My Keys, Wheres My Phone' it would still sell ridiculously over there with those crazy teenage yanks :lol: I actually think that Beat Again or She Makes Me Wanna could have been hits over in America, just a shame for JLS that they didn't have more luck. Even though Im not a fan of HGITW I still reckon it will get good airplay and chart in the top 5, doubt its a number 1 though..

 

 

Here's the new video then...love it! Definitely the best video they've done to date, it's simple but it's not 'simple on a budget' like say 'Beat Again' was...very stylish and well shot :)

Apparently 'She Makes Me Wanna' entered the top 5 in one of the Billboard club charts in America last year!

Def jam will make sure that their latest single smashes hopefully seeing as its the lead single off their upcoming Us debut album. Plus 1D only hav 1 hit under their belt and their upcoming single could be frontloaded and then drop like a rock.

I'm struggling to get on board with this single. The song lyrics, their vocals, the production, the music video, their style and their dancing is so cliché and dated. It's really quite a lame package overall. Justin & Usher would have passed on this in 2002.

Def Jam can't work miracles if the song isn't very good. I agree 1D have coasted along till now with 1 single and that naff boyband sh*t. But as much as it could be frontloaded it will storm the US billboard with those deluded fans buying anything.

I loved JC Chasez. Such an underrated album!

Quite like the video, suits the song very well. Really like this direction for them, I hope it's a sign of what's to come with the album.

This has grown on me a HELL of a lot. Bit of a boring video, and sadly I do think it does look very 'budget'. Disagree about the 'best video to date' bit, which goes to Do You Feel What I Feel for me (which is also their best single).

I like the song. It's not another generic dance beat as you all thought it would be, so it's kinda ironic ha ! :lol:

I thought JLS were a biggish CD Single seller (as in could flog a few thousand)? That could be the difference between a #5 and a #6 for them.

So this lasted only 2 plays. It's terrible. 'Boyfriend' and 'Can't Say No' crap all over this from a great height. There's not too much hype surrounding this either at the moment. I think they're over after this album.

There's about 250% more hype about One Direction's new single that hasn't even been heard yet. I'm sure what's left of their quickly maturing fanbase will get them a reasonable peak, but that's about it for this.
