While looking for some more old Radio Luxembourg charts to post, I came across my list of Eurovision songs that I liked, thought it might be fun to post.

Note, on the night I didn't like Vicky Leandros' Apre-Toi (though I do now) and was most pissed off that my personal chart number one by one of my absolute fave pop groups of the moment got beaten. Ooh I blamed Vicky Leandros I did, and her emoting and lamenting.....:)

1st Beg Steal Or Borrow (UK) - New Seekers, and the one that shouldve won!

2nd Come Comedie (France) - I almost love France in Eurovision. Classy is their middle name. I'd be lying though if I remember any of the following, I havent rewatched this contest ever, so it might be fun to youtube some of them:)

3rd (Norway) Smaating (or something like that, a male female duo)

4th (Malta) L,imhabba amour (these are almost all certainly wrongly spelt if someone wants to correct them!)

5th (Portugal) A Festa Da Vida

6th (Switzerland) C'est la Chanson defron

7th (Ireland) Ceofan ghra

8th (Germany) ??

9th (Spain) Amanece

if anyone has the final results handy that might be fun to compare. Otherwsie I suppose I should research Wikipedia:)

There you go! Luxembourg beat UK by 14 points.

Thanks Nick, that sheds some light on my list - looks like I got halfway through the contest and ranked them, then didn't do the second half! (unless I find them listed in the pad). I remember loving the Sandre & Andres song, so that must be why it's not listed!

Thanks Alex, I think my list is incomplete (as I mention to Nick), cos I remember one of my faves was Sandre & Andres, so that should be on the list, probably at no.2 which extends it to 10, and Vicky Leandros probably ranked in the lower reaches of the 10. I need to look through the notes some more:)
