November 9, 20195 yr I’m spamming Xtina threads lately but thought I’d just post that I gave this a listen in full today and it was kinda better than I thought. It’s a bit like a label kinda album and isn’t as experimental as her others but it’s decent enough. It probably helps I haven’t heard much of this era in ages though. Can’t believe the album is 7 year old already though! Red Hot Kinda Love, Blank Page, Cease Fire all could’ve been Hits and Let There Be Love is a BOP. Blank Page is one of her best ballads I’m gutted it didn’t become her Beautiful of the 10s decade.
November 9, 20195 yr Yeh I just realized I never listened to this to in full until today and I also am impressed by it. Red Hot Kinda Love is fantastic! If only she released it after the release of Burlesque.
June 19, 20205 yr Anyone else still sad about the way this album performed? :( I think Best of Me is now amongst the best half of this album after giving it a spin today. This really could’ve been a comeback style era for her if she promoted but it wasn’t meant to be. I still think it’s her weakest solo album but I’d say it’s actually her most commercial effort since Stripped.
June 19, 20205 yr I think this is a really good album! Army Of Me, Blank Page, Red Hot Kinda Love, Make The World Move  (and of course the monster 'Your Body'). Higher highs than on Bionic.
June 19, 20205 yr With this album I’d say it kinda lacks not following a theme that’s what made Stripped, Back to Basics and Bionic that holy trinity. But I still enjoy this album. It doesn’t have as high highs as Bionic for me but it also doesn’t have lows the way some songs on that album do. Not long after Lotus was released this article was written and reading it back today it’s kinda interesting to see what people feel regarding her how mainstream career changed. https://www.digitalspy.com/music/a439874/wh...stina-aguilera/
