March 24, 201312 yr Author I hope there are solid plans to release something. Even if it's just a US release.
March 24, 201312 yr Can't help but think Alexandra is joining Leona, Pixie etc in the 'done' corner :( I hope not though, when she gets it right, she's incredible.
March 24, 201312 yr I'd say Alexandra is more done than those two, unless she can miraculously turn it around. I certainly don't see her ever making the top 10 again in any way, shape or form which is a shame.
March 25, 201312 yr Say hello to the big news http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a46...hall-shows.html FFS When is she announcing music, she can't wait much longer or else she'd really be done Edited March 25, 201312 yr by *Tim
March 26, 201312 yr I can't believe I completely missed out on the Christmas EP giveaway, guess I'll have to wait till it's Christmas again to give it a whirl lol
April 25, 201312 yr She's appearantly signed to a the same Management COmpany as Nelly, Trey Songz and many more are signed to. She's also got her first US gig lined up as she's performing at the Apollo Sping Gala 2013, which has tickets athigh prices so seems pretty exclusive and there will be music critics and all types of influental people This year, Grammy Award-winning R&B superstars Mary J. Blige and Patti LaBelle take to the Apollo stage alongside Jennifer Holliday, Alexandra Burke and more
April 25, 201312 yr Author Yes I forgot to post that! It definitely seems like she is signed to KWL management - home to Trey Songz, Nelly, Big Sean, Estelle, Young Jeezy etc. Looks as though she's going Urban for America. :D
April 25, 201312 yr This sounds really good always thought she should gone more Urban for the 2nd Album.
May 21, 201312 yr Nope, she's signed with Kevin Liles' management team (he used to be at Def Jam). Not sure if she has an actual record deal or not.
May 21, 201312 yr The guy is with Warner now so I guess she left Sony. Edit : never mind he left in 2009 Edited May 21, 201312 yr by *Tim
May 21, 201312 yr Strange as it sounds, I don't actually think it's IMPOSSIBLE for her to make a comeback. I think her main downfall with her second album was just her material, I don't know why she/her team thought faceless dance music was a good move for someone whose USP is their voice. If she ever starts to record another album, the first thing she should do is sit down and listen to Rebecca Ferguson's album and take some notes. I'd certainly give her more chance of reviving her career than Leona at any rate.
May 22, 201312 yr I'd certainly give her more chance of reviving her career than Leona at any rate. Really? I'd say Leona stands a much better chance. Obviously it's gonna be really difficult for both of them though. Edited May 22, 201312 yr by Silver Rocket
May 22, 201312 yr Alexandra just needs the right material. She'll smash when she does that. Remember, Elephant wasn't a failure at any stretch of the imagination.
May 22, 201312 yr Really? I'd say Leona stands a much better chance. Obviously it's gonna be really difficult for both of them though. Well, I'm not saying I actually EXPECT Alexandra to do well again :P just that I don't think it's impossible. The reason I'd give her more chance than Leona is because she has more star quality and, even though Leona's voice is probably technically better, I feel Alexandra's voice has more character. Plus, strange as it sounds Alexandra is actually kind of at the advantage that her 2nd album did SO badly that most people didn't even notice (I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people thought she'd never actually released a follow-up to her debut), so she maybe doesn't have the stigma in a lot of people's minds. Whereas Leona's album bombed in a much more high-profile fashion (her last single missing the top 200 gained a surprising level of press coverage), plus she'd already gradually become a laughing stock with her constant X Factor appearances and lifeless cover versions. Her credibility is so shot to pieces at this point that even if she were lucky enough to be handed another 'Bleeding Love' I'm not sure she could carry it to success.
May 22, 201312 yr Do remember that Leona's album did still peak at #3 in the chart off the back of one single which is still better than lots of people suggest!
May 22, 201312 yr Do remember that Leona's album did still peak at #3 in the chart off the back of one single which is still better than lots of people suggest! On very low sales though presumably.
May 22, 201312 yr On very low sales though presumably. And has total sales less than 1/30th of her debut album released just 5 years ago, which has to be one of the most severe and quickest rates of diminishing returns in history. Edited May 22, 201312 yr by Danny
