The album deadline is on February the 7th

2 confirmed tracks Shine and No More You and she's going back to her soul routes with pop influences

I'm guessing then that the album is going to be released in May, which makes sense if the US release date for the first single is January/February.

From #AskAlex she said...

1. She still hasn't decided the album title, but needs to soon

2. She is choosing the track listing on Tuesday

3. The photoshoot for the artwork will be in the next month

4. Some tracks intended originally for album 2 could be make the cut on album 3

5. Vidal Davis and Dr Zeus have produced songs for the album

6. It's very different to Heartbreak On Hold

7. Her inspiration was early Whitney music

I can't wait for this. Not too happy they are still going ahead with this Shine/No More You. One of them is the single but judging from the snippets neither of them sound like smashes

It NEEDED to be different to HOH. That album was like a gag album. I loved Overcome, brilliant, up there with Echo by Leona. Can she repeat it? I dunno, but I'll give the new single a listen. No longer excited though like I was for Elephant after Overcome.

We're getting 'Heartbreak on Hold' rejects?

Excited.

No, luckily not. We're gettng tracks from the original second album, the one she was recording while still with Syco, before RCA forced HOH

Ooh that is more interesting.

She should've stayed with Syco ... makes a change!

Alexandra was recording her 2nd album, when she decided to move label from Syco to RCA. In the progress she lost the tracks she recorded already, most likely due to money issues. RCA were broke and made her rush record a cheap dance album, thinking it'd do well.

She then parted ways with RCA (don't know if she was dropped or left) and was picked up by Kevin Liles. He is now a high man at Epic so she's most likely bagged a deal with Epic. She is also signed to KWL management

But wasn't she the executive producer behind HOH?

I know she said that but I think that was for the original album.

Oooh exciting, I am looking forward to this!

Former X Factor champion Alexandra Burke has signed up to star in the West End musical The Bodyguard.

The reality TV popstar will play the lead role of Rachel Marron opposite Tristan Gemmill. Burke will replace Beverley Knight in the lead role.

The Bodyguard is currently playing until August 30. Knight leaves the show on May 31.

Burke said that she "couldn't be more excited" about joining the cast, and described the role of Rachel as a "dream come true".

"I am a massive Whitney Houston fan, so to be given the opportunity to play a role made famous by her every night will be a real privilege," said Burke.

"I start rehearsals very soon with my fellow cast mates and the brilliant creative team and, with a little trepidation, I am looking forward to our first performance in June."

The musical is based on Whitney Houston's movie

Based on Lawrence Kasdan's 1992 Oscar-nominated movie, which starred Houston and Kevin Costner, the Bodyguard musical opened in November 2012.

I don't think we will ever see this album and if she releases it it'll be in 2015.

She actually told fans she had finished the album, was filming the music video, would reveal label news in March and was ready to go to the states....

The BBC today announces singer Alexandra Burke will join presenter Fern Britton in re-telling the story of the Passion for BBC One’s live Good Friday event and broadcast of The Great North Passion.

Singing Amazing Grace and leading a finale of (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher, Alexandra will be accompanied by a massed choir of local singers, along with other performers, opera singer Graeme Danby and rock band The Futureheads. She will also perform her brand-new song, Where Do Hearts Go?.

Alexandra will perform her new song Where Do Hearts Go? on BBC on Good Friday. I don't think it is the new single, but still excited to hear some new Alexandra

I'm wondering if it's the Whitney song "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?"?

That's what I was wondering too, to promote the musical

But Where Do Broken Hearts Go is not on the setlist for the musical and the BBC site says her brand-new song, not whitney cover
