May 26 - During soundcheck in Sydney the guys were asked about the new album. This is what Nick answered with. He did stress how they can go in to the studio with one idea and then come out with something completely different but an idea they have at the moment is an updated 70s disco sound for uptempos kinda like Jamiroquai. He did say harmonies will be there “harmonies are always going to be there”. Again they are aiming to get most of the album done whilst in London and get something out asap. Someone asked if they can make sure the stuff is played on radio because the singles from recent albums haven’t been and AJ said quite confidently “oh that won’t be happening this time, even if we have to lock the radio guys in a room and make them play our song”. They also said it will have a more mature sound lyric wise and they’ll write from life experiences. Thanks to Smeagols_Twin for the info! July 9 - Kevin recently did a interview with MTV where he discussed about the new BSB album! “We all discussed, we want this to be a personal record,” Richardson told MTV News. “We want it to be authentic to us and who we are and where we’re at in our lives. … We want to talk about the things that are relevant in our life, and we want to be authentic and make a great record that we’re proud of, and that’s kind of where we’re starting.” “Before they did the European leg of the NKOTBSB tour, I flew over to London, and we met with a producer, Martin Terefe — he did Train’s ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ and Jason Mraz’s ‘I’m Yours,’ ” Richardson explained. “So, we had kind of been looking around at producers, and we chatted with him over the phone. We flew to London and met with him and wrote for a day and talked about the direction that we wanted and kind of the ideas that were floating around. “We brainstormed, and then woke up the next day and went into the studio and wrote a song in like an hour. It felt really good, and so we think it’s the right fit. And hopefully, he’s going to produce the entire record.” http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1689255/b...new-album.jhtml July 18 - AJ posted on twitter that they are working with Craig David.
