The lads' first single off their new album 'Evolution' - it's been gaining even more airplay on the radio and TV front this week, particularly from Kiss and 1Xtra who were more supportive of them during their first album. But is a 6th number 1 out of 11 single releases on the way?

Much as I'd love it to be number 1 for them - it's their best since 'Take a Chance on Me', and that was only a year ago - I'm almost acknowledging it won't because it's JLS and people seem to hate them but I certainly think it'll reach top 5 and sell much better than 'Do You Feel What I Feel?' and 'Proud' did.

How are they doing on radio and tv airplay at the moment? Did it enter the top 50 already or not ?

And who's releasing against them and the week before ?

#21 on Radio Airplay and #7 on TV Airplay according to the thread here. Looking at the release schedule it's quite a quiet week (unusually so for a week in October) when they're releasing apart from Tyler James who's pushed his single back from 14th October, also Naughty Boy which is meant to do quite big things. Their biggest competition from week before could be Calvin/Florence, Lawson and Loveable Rogues, plus as well Rihanna/Gangnam Style which I imagine are gonna hang around for quite a bit if their sales this week are anything to go by.

This song is brilliant. It's very "street", reminiscent of Beat Again. It's good they've done this, since they need to distinguish themselves from the other male pop groups at the moment. This puts them more inline with Stooshe and Little Mix.

Musically, it reminds me of Pharrell/The Neptunes/Justin Timberlake. So maybe it'll chart at #2 like Boyfriend and Can't Say No both did (which also sounded like those artists).

It will obviously do better than Proud, since that song was very lacking in radio airplay, but this is getting a good amount. So I voted top 5.

Top 5, I can see it peaking at #3 to be exact. Shame though as I like it a lot more than some of their #1s (The Club Is Alive & She Makes Me Wanna especially).

Jahq - you read my mind, I was thinking #3 as well! I said this yesterday in the Airplay thread but I reckon this song will be for them what 'Something Kinda Ooooh' was for Girls Aloud - everyone had written them off after the way the 'Chemistry' era had performed and then that song just smashed it sales wise and put them back on the map so I'm quietly confident it'll be the same scenario here for the lads. I've heard another one of the tracks off the new album called 'Dessert' and the single and that track are very indicative of what's on there - much more R&B led sound they've gone back to/embraced.

They'll get X Factor again and No 2 wouldn't surprise me at all. I think there does seem to be a downturn in their profile with the general public/ teen demographic which will effect sales regardless how good or bad the song is, but then they can't complain as they have achieved positions before "just because it was JLS" so sooner or later the shine had to wear off. Not a bad song though, still a bit Justin Timberlake album track though, but then he made cracking albums so that's hardly a criticism.
I actually wouldn't mind it getting the #1, unless it's blocking a song that I love. :P I applaude them for trying out a new sound. Would never expect them to do something like this. At first I thought it was absolute filth, but now I'm kind of warming to it. The beat knocks as well.
I think it will struggle to make top 5, its just a like Justin Timberlake throw-away bside. The album should ship platinum though, but it wont beat Robbie Williams to the top this time.
I could see a #2 for this... But yeah, a top 5 is definitely sure I think. It wouldn't surprise me if they turn to be #3 or #4 but with top 5 sales being really similar/close.
Top 5. It's a decent enough song, much better than some of their previous lead single. They're not really that popular currently tho.

Despite the risk of incurring Griff's wrath, I am still going to comment on this... :)

Awful song. But probably guaranteed Top 10.

Agreed - but their fanbase would pretty much guarantee T10 regardless.

As usual though, it's not until I see how others have voted that I can get an real idea of the general appeal - as, for obvious reasons, I cannot objectively judge songs like this myself... ;)

Timberlake - I knew it reminded me of someone!

We're not voting based on how much we like the song though. We're voting based on where they think the song will chart.

For example, I love the song, and I want it to go to #1, but I know it won't. So I voted top 5.

Even if we were voting based on how much we like the song, Buzzjack isn't exactly the best place to use if you want to estimate how much the public will like a song.

I voted top 5 - mainly as their last few singles havent performed brilliantly....

The song has actually grown on me alot - so hopefully the new direction will pay off - lets be honest they needed to do something different which they've done
