Great to see PSY at no.1 for a third week! Also like Little Mix, Florence, No Doubt, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction, P!nk and Fun.

Well, isn't that a superb top 3. I gave Dream Beats a vote because they'll need it but Diamonds is just as good (read: AMAZING), I thought one of them would knock PSY off to be perfectly honest. Nevertheless, it seems the charts are very in sync with what we both like at the moment - PSY, Rihanna, Adele, SHM, the list of top 3 hits that are amazing is looking pretty good right about now.

 

Also, I'm quite pleased that you are charting Avalon, I honestly thought I was the only one, I expected it to be a little more popular, but maybe rock-rap is something only a few people really get into. Sierra's vocals are lush though.

 

I should be getting a little more into Mika's new stuff but I can't as much as I used to, he's gone a different direction and I'm not finding it as interesting. :(

It is a superb top 40!!! :P Dream Beats 'Love Stuck' really was one of the many highlights in last month's BJSC. In fact, Saint Lou Lou got my 12 in the semi finals but 'Love Stuck' had the edge by the final. Both songs brilliant in their own way. Perhaps our charts are in sync because we know a great song when we hear one (Panamah devestated!!! :angry: ).

 

'Avalon' is a decent track and even though it's taken a fall, it's small compared some tracks that enter at #27. I agree, Sierra's chorus really makes the track for me.

 

Mika was my fave newcomer in 2007 when he released 'Grace Kelly' - I adored the track even though I knew it was cheesey as Cheddar yet I hated 'Love Today' and it all sort of went pear-shaped from then. 'Happy Ending' being Mika's only proper successful single in my chart. 'Celebrate' is alright - good enoguh to chart at #27.

It didn't really come out of the woodwork as people were aware the track was getting released on the Sunday. It just fought a much stronger battle against 1D than I anticipated. Adele "came out of the woodwork" and it would've been incredible had 'Skyfall' made #1 on Sunday. Alas, with roughly 36 hours on sales before I wrote this chart, I hadn't listened to 'Skyfall' enough for it to make an impression which is why it's new at #1 in my pre-release chart ready to make its big entry next weekend. However, PSY is still holding on strong beating Rihanna here. :o

Really? :o I'd have expected PSY to have a bigger impact on your chart than mine considering you've been supporting K-Pop for quite some time now.

'Diamonds' is a brilliant new track and the success proves just how much of force Rihanna is these days. Personally, I would say 'We Found Love' has been Rihanna's best lead single to date although that's just what I think. Everyone judges music in different ways. I posted a comment last week about how Rihanna's success right now makes me think of the impact Madonna had in 1985, and Kylie Minogue in 1988.

Sorry but I completely disagree. 'Feel 4 U' was quite limp imo for what it was. It sounded like it could've been a much better song but the chorus kills the momentum of the song in a "oh, was that really the chorus?" kinda way. :( 'Love Stuck' is pop music at its absolute finest.

This has happened several times when Kylie tracks emerge as a single release but a very low key one. 'White Diamonds' iirc had a chart run of 07-18-34-OUT and the amount of times I listened to the track plummeted.

Wow, interesting you've voted for my lowest new entry although I do think it's a good track. I doubt Mika will ever have another 'Grace Kelly' style global smash hit single.
