Posted October 7, 201212 yr I have no idea whether this will go through or if it'll go through fully formed or anything so I shall have to be as brief as I can. If the topic stops at a random point then it's something to do with my problemΒ At random in certain places around the board recently (started in PMs, then a mod lounge, then just now in Reality TV), when I go to post a new post or topic, the connection will freeze out and then be interrupted - and the post will not go through. It seems to affect longer posts more but it's not consistent at all. Starting topics seems to be even more dangerous, it creates a new topic every time I preview post, but not all of what I wanted to post, only a little. Β I have tried logging in and out, different browsers, shutting my laptop down, everything I can think of, but nothing is stopping it. Either my uni connection lead is playing up (it's done nothing like this anywhere else around the web that I know of) or Buzzjack has fallen out with me temporarily. :( Any help?
October 8, 201212 yr so no other forum gives the same issue with long posts? Are you downloading anything at the same time as browsing? What about if you try an online speed test, what results are you getting back? Speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/
October 8, 201212 yr Author Not that I'm aware of re: other forums and no for the others, my speed is better than it used to be (47 ping, 9.48/8.78 on that link). It's stopped being a problem for now (as I was able to post fairly prolifically almost as soon as I posted this topic :D) although the first instance of this was about 2 weeks ago and it didn't affect much for long (although it was annoying) and it just came back yesterday and the day before that and it seemed a quite serious problem.Β It's like the connection freezes up as soon as I hit the posting/send button, there is no problem elsewhere. Anyway, it seems to have resolved itself on its own, but I'll let you know if it comes back. Thanks.
October 9, 201212 yr I sometimes have my connection freeze when I press 'Add Reply' too but it's because of my internet connection. But I always go back and click 'Preview Post' until the internet goes back to normal and then I see whether my post got through instead of making quadruple posts like some impatient posters. :D
October 13, 201212 yr no reported issues with the site and generally its because of issues with your internet at that exact point in time. For example if you or someone else is downloading something at the same time you post it can mean the data does not get sent correctly or at all and leads to the issues you are experiencing. Many other reasons such as your ISP is having localised issues but keep me informed here if any further issues!!
