How I compile my charts:

With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's playlisted on Radio 1.

Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80's/90's singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1.

And this week, The Killers finally reach the summit after an unusually long climb, although those One Direction boys are hot on their heels...

Great chart, love most of the Indie tracks.

That's how i like it too :D I would even say i prefer the way the 70's Charts have been compiled when new entries in Top 10 occured very rare. And therefore they were worth their weight in gold!

Now what i like from your Chart:

 13 (16) Muse - Madness (5 wks / HCP 13) [30-22-20-16-13]

Yeah, it got quite boring in the late 90's/early 2000's when pretty much every number 1 was a new entry! I much prefer songs gradually climbing to the top without any predictability or certainty :D after the first couple of weeks of The Killers song being in my chart, I had no idea it would eventually get to Number 1, but it gradually grew on me and now I can't stop playing it!
