Good to see the tour doing well, but at the same time i hate that they are pitting them against each other again as its all old news now. While it kills me to say it Robbie is far far more successful than Gary. Garys success is often under estimated by many but when pitted against robbie the facts are there in robbies favour. Both have done very well for themselves though and have nothing to prove to anyone, 20 years in the business and still relevant and popular is a great achievement.

 

Pete I agree that its a bit of bad news for the media to be pitting Gary against Robbie. And bad that fans of Gary should feel a need to 'gloat' to a certain degree. I think Gary's fans should be pleased that he has a modicum of success here in the UK without thinking that they've 'beaten' Robbie. On a global scale - Robbie would win hands-down.

I think Take That will always and ever be remembered fondly they have done enough now to cement that, they will always be remembered as one of the biggest boybands and Gary will get a lot of credit for all that for ever and ever, in that respect he would be more fondly remembered than Robbie. Outside of all that Robbie will always have a place in the history books as well.

 

Thing is Robbie and Gary are friends now, maturity i guess sorted it all out in the end, so the press etc just need to accept that, thing is fans now get the best of both worlds, there are people who love solo robbie, solo gary, take that as 4 and take that as 5 so they gets loads of stuff to enjoy, but from all those combinations there is something to suit everyone so all i say is enjoy it.

I agree! There's nothing wrong in wanting the best financially. Maybe people will stop giving McFly a hard time for doing all they can for record sales.

McFly arent in the same league so i can totally understand them trying to make the cash as they know their days as celebrities are dwindling fast, i wonder did they make alot of money in their day?

I would say McFly have done well for themselves as when they were big they did queit well and had fans outside the UK, i think to knowledge they were huge in Asia.

The problem with Mc Fly well UK wise was their singles in general plummeted after the first week and at thei rpeak multiple cd releases helped them peak higher,they never really had huge selling albums either but they did ok at the same time, they never done that great in Ireland either not that it would make much difference as irish sales are so low.

Yes, many singles did plummet and there biggest single was for charity. Im not sure how there new single will perform, have their fans forgotten about them now and grown up.
