Posted August 15, 200618 yr does anyone know if any of the american people (obviously except kelly) will release anything over here cos carrie rele shud!thank u
August 15, 200618 yr Carrie Underwood was rumoured to be releasing her Some Hearts album in the UK over the summer, but due to her touring it has been pushed back, but is pencilled in for the future. There are rumours they are going to try and push Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks (This Seasons Finalists) in the UK and europe, personally I dont think it will happen, but its a rumour. I cant see that any other previous finalists will do anything out of american. Clay Aiken will always stick to the US, and his career is fading anyway, Ruben wont and Kimberley Locke wont. Diana DeGarmo is 99% she wont release anything here but Fantasia has a better chance but I would still say its doubtful. Personally, I cant see any idol other than Kelly and possibly Carrie releasing here unless they start showing American Idol in a primetime slot on terrestrial TV (I know ITV shows it on Friday evening and used to play it on Sunday mornings) but untiul it gets say an 8pm slot on Sunday (an ideal time) I really cant see us getting a UK release from the idols. Hope that helps :)
August 15, 200618 yr I doubt it, thats why the xfactor was brought in because Pop Idol had declining ratings and sales so a new show to brighten things up!
August 15, 200618 yr No, there won't be another Pop Idol because Simon cocked it up with Michelle McManus, come to think of it Simon has cocked everything up in the last four years with his acts, Gareth Gates, Michelle McManus and Steve Brookstein, I'd be worried if I ended up in his group on X-Factor.
August 16, 200618 yr I'd say The X Factor is more of a vanity project for the three judges than a talent contest. They spend more time arguing than they do listening to contestants singing and in the auditions bit they showed regular montages of Simon Cowell scowling (not saying anything just scowling) with Kate Thornton going on over it about no one wanting to face 'The Dark Lord' blah blah blah. I'd also like to take this opportunity to express my anger on the fact that Sharon Osbourne is allowed on a television show let alone primetime. GRRRRRRRRR!!!
August 16, 200618 yr I'd also like to take this opportunity to express my anger on the fact that Sharon Osbourne is allowed on a television show let alone primetime. GRRRRRRRRR!!! Well i dont think you'll like the fact that she's the new face of the 5.00pm slot on ITV1. From monday onwards the 'Sharon Osbourne Show' will air.
