Garbage - The World Is Not Enough (1999)

 

 

Madonna - Die Another Day (2002)

 

 

Chris Cornell - You Know My Name (Casino Royale 2006)

 

 

Jack White & Alicia Keys - Another Way To Die (Quantum Of Solace 2008)

 

 

Adele - Skyfall (2012)

The amazing Tomorrow Never Dies for me here.

Combining these two just made it even harder! :lol:

 

Out of the 90s, I'm going for Tomorrow Never Dies (although Surrender on the credits would just beat it), although the other two are incredibly high in the list of my favourite Bond themes. Out of the 00s, I'm going for Die Another Day, but You Know My Name isn't far behind. Adele's Skyfall is already up there with the best Bond themes too.

 

Overall, Tomorrow Never Dies is my favourite from the list (and all-time *official* Bond theme). :wub:

"You Know My Name", but I know I'm going to be the only one.

Die Another Day was the first Bond theme I remember from my childhood so that gets my vote. Another Way To Die was a real non event considering the artists involved, I did like You Know My Name even if its not aged that well.

The only one of these I don't really like is the Chris Cornell one. If I had to rank them though it would be like this:

Tomorrow Never Dies, though Goldeneye and it's sheer ridiculousness runs it close. Had the latter been in it's full album version as the theme song it would have won. The 45 seconds intro of *bum bum bum bum DUN NUH* and repeat is quite ridiculous yet quite engaging.

It was only a closing theme though, so it's not really counted. Maybe there could be an odds and ends bit too, with Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Never Say Never Again (even though it's NON CANON)?

Well, wikipedia didn't list it as an important secondary theme (unlike We Have All The Time In The World which was) so I didn't include it. I agree it is brilliant though.

 

Maybe I should wildcard it in the final!

There are only two good songs for me: "Goldeneye" and "Skyfall". I voted for "Skyfall".

The Garbage-song must be the baddest Bond-song ever! Or maybe the Sheryl Crow-song. No, maybe the Chris Cornell-song. No, Garbage!!! For sure!!!

Garbage certainly. I do like Skyfall a lot, but Garbage is my favourite Bond theme bar none, so that has to be going through. :wub:
