18 November 2002 is a signature day in the history of pop music. It was a time, when my # 1 album was released.

H & Claire - Another You, Another Me

H & Claire were a pop duo, consisting of former Steps members amazing Claire Richards and Ian "H" Watkins. They released one studio album and three top ten singles in 2002 before disbanding in 2003.

Following the split of Steps on 26 December 2001, H & Claire formed the duo. The pair released their debut single "DJ" on WEA Records on 6 May 2002. The single debuted and peaked on the UK Singles Chart at #3, spending a week in the Top 10. Their second single, "Half A Heart" followed on 12 August 2002, peaking at #8. Their third and final single release was a double A-side of an original song entitled "All Out of Love" and a cover of the Disney song "Beauty and the Beast". The single was released in November 2002 and peaked at #10, spending 3 weeks on the UK Top 40.

Their debut album, Another You Another Me, followed. However, it peaked at #58 in UK Albums Chart, and WEA Records soon dropped the pair. It only sold around 5,000 copies in its first week of release, and shipped a total of over 60,000, being certified Silver in the week of release.

Sad, that not all tracks are avalaible on You Tube, but you can heard 11 from 15 songs, which include most my favourites and 4 amazing pop perfomances: Another You, Another Me, Too Close to Tears, Beauty and the Beast, Two Hearts Beat as One.

Really? I'm not denying that you shouldn't like the album because it's your taste, it's just that there are much better albums of that ilk out there.

What I find more disturbing is that albums by Deuce, All Stars, and scootch haven't challenged this selection!

Please, without shit about AllSTARS*, I adore this short-living group  , their album could be # 2, if my favourite albums list would be compiled.

I like Scooch, but I didn't heard their full album. Never heard about Deuce, but really need to listen them, if their name in the same beautiful league with Scooch and AllSTARS*

I'm glad they were considered! :D

I mean if you like H & Claire, then you should like ABBA, who made much better music than H & Claire did and are actually worthy of a "all time #1 favorite album" title.

I know this comes across as really snobby and I know it takes all sorts but my mind has truly boggled.

Yes, I like ABBA, but even my favourite their albums (Ring Ring, Arrival) is worse, than H & Claire's album.

For simple: ABBA - "Arrival"

Amazing songs: That's Me, When I Kissed The Teacher, Knowing Me, Knowing You

But I hate "Fernando", dislike "Tiger", "Arrival" and I prefer the singles from H & Claire's album ("DJ", "Half A Heart", "All Out Of Love" / "Beauty And The Beast"), than "Money, Money, Money" and "Dancing Queen"

Same situation for "Ring Ring":

Amazing songs: Nina Pretty Ballerina, Disillusion, I' m Just Girl, Ring Ring

but this album also include some very weak songs : Rock N Roll Band, He Is Your Brother, I Saw It The Mirror...

"Another You, Another Me" don't have a filler tracks, but have 5-6 brilliant pop songs and it's strong reason, because I love this album so much.

This is a bit like saying Toploader's debut album is the greatest ever released.

And I thought Hanson's Middle Of Nowhere being in my top 20 was a little odd.....

Don't you like Anastacia and P!nk as well? I remember you talking about them when I used to lurk around the Now Music forums! :o
