October 28, 201212 yr Please, without shit about AllSTARS*, I adore this short-living group  , their album could be # 2, if my favourite albums list would be compiled. I like Scooch, but I didn't heard their full album. Never heard about Deuce, but really need to listen them, if their name in the same beautiful league with Scooch and AllSTARS* You should check out Bucks Fizz, critically reviled in the 80's, but their producers made/wrote immaculate pop songs like My camera Never Lies, Now Those days Are Gone, You And Your Heart So Blue, New Beginnings (Mamba Seyra), One Of Those Nights and When We Were Young. Deuce were largely throwaway but had one fabulous pop single "On The Bible". I also liked the H & Claire single, love almost everything Abba did from Waterloo on, Pink, some Hanson, some Toploader. I was around when the greatest pop group of alltime were active (Beatles) and happy to play Led Zep, Wombles, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Motorhead, Bob Marley, Black Eyed Peas, Killers anything and everything. It's all music.... Granted my all-time fave album would be Bridge Over Troubled Water or 10CC or Arrival or Revolver or What's Going On or...
October 29, 201212 yr Author I don't believe he's being serious. I'm serious. Steps is the best group ever and H & Claire's album is the best thing, which came from them.

I like many UK mixed pop groups from 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s (from New Seekers to allSTARS*) Bucks Fizz were amazing on their peak (Making Your Mind Up, The Land Of Make Believe are classic songs for me) John, your music taste is very wide in compare with mine. October 29, 201212 yr To be fair to you, it is your music taste, you just need to learn to own it and have more confidence in it. :D

You're enthusiastic about what you like which is great! Some people never get enthusiastic about any sort of music, and most people find a style they like and stick with it (heavy metal fans for instance adore heavy rock, some tend not to get so enthusiastic for other types of music). I knew you already liked Bucks Fizz I was just making a point for others benefit that public image isn't always a fair representative of quality of music. Abba remain the classic example, it wasn't until Knowing Me Knowing You that the critics grudgingly had to accept their cheesy eurovision comments were way off the mark and it was classic pop music by any standard. The Sex Pistols knew it - they nicked the riff to SOS..:) Always enjoy your posts, keep it up:)
October 29, 201212 yr I am less concerned with liking the album than claims that it is the best thing Steps adjacent. I am sorry but BUZZ (and indeed every Steps single, even the drippy ballads) defecates over this solo mess from some very great height my hyperbole cannot create at this early hour.
October 29, 201212 yr Don't you like Anastacia and P!nk as well? I remember you talking about them when I used to lurk around the Now Music forums! :o You can tell I like Pink and Anastacia just from what I post on BJ. Although Ana is pushing since she BLATANTLY REFUSES to become relevant again and regularly release music. Bigger shock being that you LURKED on the Now forums. I was a fairly regular poster there between 2004 and 2006 which, by my estimations, puts you at about 7-9 years old when doing this lurking which seems a tad young to me. However your observations were correct but I don't know how you can bring up Pink or Anastacia like they BELONG in this thread.....

I don't like the conception of "Buzz". Idea with 5 solo songs on the second side didn't work very well. Faye & Claire's voices always were more stronger in compare with another members. Their solos: "If You Believe" and "Hand On Your Heart" are such perfect level of pop music. Best songs, which Steps did in my eyes: 1. H & Claire - Another You, Another Me 2. Claire Richards - Hand On Your Heart 3. Steps - It's The Way You Make Me Feel 4. Faye Tozer / Russell Watson - Someone Like You 5. H & Claire - Two Hearts Beat as One / Faye Tozer - If You Believe Albums ranking: 1. H & Claire - "Another You, Another Me" 2. Steps - "Step One" 3. Steps - "Steptacular" 4. Steps - "Buzz"
October 29, 201212 yr There's really no way that anything Steps related is better than anything ABBA related.
October 29, 201212 yr Author There's really no way that anything Steps related is better than anything ABBA related. Just ask, do you heard all songs from ABBA and all songs from Steps / TSD / H & Claire / Faye ? I like ABBA and like Steps. Both groups have many huge songs, but of course not all.

October 29, 201212 yr Author For everybody, which didn't know this fact: - The title track from my favourite album "Another You, Another Me" was written by Bjorn & Benny (from ABBA) for pop group Gemini. Edited October 29, 201212 yr by AlexRange

I lurked when I was 11 and had no life, so I kept look backing at old threads and saw that you were a prominent supporter of those artists and Hanson. And if I'm correct, you got banned from the site from doing nothing (I know that this isn't relevant to the thread but I need to know)? :P Edited October 29, 201212 yr by Grief

I didn't actually get banned-I was one of the few that didn't. There were many regular posters and quite a good community back in the day and at some point circa 2008 many members got banned and the reasoning was left unexplained. Therefore I stopped posting since most of my friends couldn't do so anymore.
November 19, 201212 yr Author 10th Anniversary was yesterday. :) Sad, that most chart music now is less, than 1 % of H & Claire quality. Edited November 19, 201212 yr by AlexRange
