Posted November 2, 201212 yr Info taken from Wiki... What About Now is the twelfth studio album by rock band Bon Jovi. Produced by John Shanks, the album will be released in March 2013. In an interview given to Classic Rock Magazine, guitarist Richie Sambora says that the album was recorded before his solo album Aftermath of the Lowdown was done. He and Jon started to write and before they knew it, they were in the studio with the band. The record is now finished and sounding great, and we start our 2013 tour in February (Because We Can 2013 World Tour). So we'll be at a stadium near you very soon. (Classic Rock Magazine, October 2012, Page 84) In an interview given to Artisan News, keyboardist David Bryan says that the new album will be out in January and there will be at least 110 shows in 30 countries. As David stated, this record is rock with a lot of keyboards in it. While no official track listing has been released, some song titles have been confirmed to be on the album by band members. "What About Now" "The Fighter" "Because We Can" "I Am With You" "Does Anybody Want What's Left of Me?" The song "What About Now" was confirmed by Jon Bon Jovi during CBS's "Person to Person" television show. A small preview of the song can be heard during the episode. "The Fighter" was played live acoustically at the Castello di Amorosa in San Fransico during a special fan club show by Jon. That same night, Jon confirmed other track titles including "Because We Can", "I Am With You" and "Does Anybody Want What's Left of Me?". Jon stated that "Because We Can" will most likely be the lead single from the album, with "I Am With You" likely to be the second. They have been releasing tour dates all week, including Canada, South Africa, Uk & Europe for their 2013 tour 'Because We Can'. Ticket prices start from £12.50. The band will kick off the UK leg of the Because We Can tour at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on June 8 next year, before playing Birmingham's Villa Park on June 9 and Cardiff City Stadium on June 10. They will then play Sunderland's Stadium of Light on June 13 and wrap up the tour with a date at Glasgow's Hampden Park on July 3. The band have announced that tickets for the shows - which will feature them performing tracks from their forthcoming album What About Now - will cost just £12.50, in a bid to allow as many fans as possible to afford them. 'The band insisted on ticket prices for the Because We Can tour that enabled all to attend,' said the tour's promoter Rob Hallett. 'Ordinary fans have been priced out of music in recent years and we hope this goes some way towards redressing the balance. After all, rock'n'roll always was and always should be the music of the people. And that means everyone.' A source close to the band told the Mirror: 'We are in the middle of a recession and that’s why the band think £12.50 is perfect.' The tour dates come shortly after the Rolling Stones were criticised for charging upwards of £375 for their 50th anniversary dates at London's O2 in November. Despite the extortionate cost, tickets for the two shows, on November 25 and 29, reportedly sold out in just seven minutes. Read more: http://www.metro.co.uk/music/916562-bon-jo...r#ixzz2B46Hj6rg
January 9, 201312 yr Author Havent heard this yet (due to being offline for over a month :o ) but apparently the single is doing well, top 20 on iTunes already :D *edit* Heard it. Love it. Downloading it (later). :D Edited January 9, 201312 yr by troublepink
January 9, 201312 yr I actually really like this! The chorus is anthemic and catchy. Much better than the David Bowie thing.
January 10, 201312 yr Am going to see them in June here in Ireland, cant wait as they always deliver the goods live. I am looking forward to the new album, i will admit the albums are not as good as they used to be but they are still highly enjoyable. Its great to see the new single doing reasonably well for them and i think the album has a chance of going number 1 which woul be great.
February 10, 201312 yr Author They were due to open their tour last night Uncasville, CT, but because of the snow it had to be rescheduled... TONIGHT'S BON JOVI CONCERT AT MOHEGAN SUN ARENA IN UNCASVILLE, CT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2013 Uncasville, CT – February 9 – Mohegan Sun has just announced that tonight’s Bon Jovi concert has been rescheduled to Friday, October 25, 2013. Governor Dannel Malloy has declared a state of emergency and issued a mandatory statewide travel ban for Connecticut. All tickets purchased for tonight’s concert will be honored at the newly scheduled October 25 concert. For more information ticketholders should return to their original point of purchase. ... we were concerned for those who were unable to travel to the show and for those who had already traveled a long way to uncasville, ct. postponing the show while still performing tonight for those already here was the best way to address the unavoidable blizzard -jbj How nice of them to still do a show for free for the people who had already got there :D
March 21, 201312 yr Number 1 in America makes up for losing out in the UK, 5th American number 1 album for them which is a good achievement.
April 7, 201312 yr Author There are rumous going around that the band have split up. Richie has left the tour for a while due to a 'personal matter'.... Richie Sambora @TheRealSambora 3 Apr Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon.
April 8, 201312 yr The rumour mill is in full action regarding whether Richie has left, whether Jon pushed him out or whether he is away on a personnel matter/rehab. I hope it is all resolved as after so many great years together it would be a shame to happen.
April 29, 201312 yr What about now is the second single, i think its a good choice, anyone else think differently?
May 10, 201312 yr Author One of my favourites from the new album :D Well it seems Richie will not be joining the band on the next legs of tour (South Africa & Europe) due to this personal matter. I'm sad that I wont get to see him, but it won't stop me having a good time :D I hope he sorts out whatever it is that is the issue and joins the guys again asap
June 25, 201312 yr Went to see them in Slane Ireland and they put on a fantastic show, they played for 3 hours and played a mixture of old and new. Huge crowd of almost 60,000 at the concert and the atmosphere was brilliant.
November 23, 201311 yr "Because We Can" is not a bad song..But it sounds like something which was written for Obama's re-election campaign.. :kink:
November 28, 201311 yr Because we can is catchy but it is dated, im a huge fan of the group and as much i like their music i know its dated. Because we can did a lot better as single than i thought it would but the album has really underperformed in the UK, i think it has done much better in America though which is something t the least.
November 28, 201311 yr Author I loved the performance of BWC at their gig in June...the whole crowd joined in it was awesome :D Anyone seen (probably have as it was all over the news!!)... Prince William singing livin' on a prayer with jon? shame taylor swift decided to join in  but pretty freakin' cool :D y7ONDcfd8pI
