Brief Chart Overview:

 

The X Factor effect sends Little Mix and both of No Doubt's singles soaring into the top five and JLS's album release affects Hottest Girl In The World as it climbs into the top ten. A couple of other climbs here and there but generally, everything else seems to be falling down the charts. A lot of new entries will undoubtedly come in over the next few weeks as I get the charts going again. I think I will keep mine as a top twenty from now on though. Comments welcome :)

I thought it might be fitting to do a lookback at some of the artists who feature in today's chart and see how they were charting when I did my old charts in 2005/2006! (Seems less time ago than it really was!)

McFly have generally been quite consistent on my charts having relatively moderate success across the years I actually did my charts. Here are the singles that charted and their full chart run:

So it seems that Love Is Easy, to me, is their best song chartwise. Weirdly, I loved Ultraviolet and Please Please when they came out so it's interesting to see both only just scraped the top ten.
