November 19, 201212 yr Hi Martin :D 03 (01) Retro Stefson ~ Glow ~ 3 [1-1-3] So gutted about this not qualifying. :( It was one of my three contenders but I decided to get other posters' opinions on my 3 tracks and the feedback all said this was the least popular so I dropped it. Then when I saw you'd entered the track I was hoping it'd still get through anyways. You got my 12 points though. ^_^ (and because it entered the HIT30 it still qualfies for my chart despite DNQing in BJSC - gotta love those chart rules :lol: ) 04 (35) Gabrielle Aplin ~ The Power Of Love ~ 2 [35-4] I really like Gabrielle's take on 'The Power Of Love'. No doubt this is going to be sticking around until the New Year so should get a decent run inside the top 10. Who knows, it might even climb to no. 1 at some point if there are any quiet weeks without any major new releases. 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' continues to climb up my chart - a track I just adore even though I gave it 7 points in the final, it's got quite a stronghold on me. 12 (14) Loreen ~ Euphoria ~ 42 [1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-1-1-3-2-3-2-4-8-6-6-7-6-4-6-8-7-8-13-14-12] Left my top 40 ages ago but it's awe inspiring to see this become the 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' of 2012. :wub: 17 (09) Fibes, Oh Fibes! feat. Icona Pop ~ Cerahtonia ~ 5 [38-3-5-9-17] Such an uplifting track, and a worthy winner of BJSC last month. :D 26 (29) Of Monsters And Men ~ Mountain Sound ~ 2 [29-26] I've not taken to this as much as I thought I would. 'Little Talks' completely passed me by a year ago when it was entered into BJSC. It was thanks to its massive success in Europe that led me back to the track months later. Then it finally dented my chart with a rather unique 40-31-23-06-01 progression up my chart. 'Mountain Sound' might enter my chart but it's not made it so far. 27 (28) Mylène Farmer ~ À L'ombre ~ 4 [39-51-28-27] Disco chic!!! *.* I'm in two minds over this track - I like it but for some reason find it a little disappointing. It's difficult to explain it, it's like I expect the song to have these epic moments and they don't happen but what happens it's ok, just not what I expected from the song. There is a remix I discovered of this track which I prefer much more. 36 (30) Adele ~ Skyfall ~ 7 [18-26-37-42-18-30-36] Adore. :wub: Adele is one of very few artists who can release a song as classy as 'Skyfall' and score a massive hit in the UK with such a track. I really do think this is a modern day classic in the making - can imagine this still getting a lot of airplay in 10 years time. It's just got that classic timeless sound about it. 37 (38) CHVRCHES ~ The Mother We Share ~ 7 [38-27-29-28-31-38-37] I prefer 'Lies' but this is still a great track and it's still steadily making its way up my chart though I doubt it'll go top 10 for me. Will be interesting to see how CHVRCHES do next year. 55 (**) Lana Del Rey ~ Ride ~ 1 [55] Another song I adore at the moment. Lana has been such a successful artist in my chart since I got to discover 'Video Games' in BJSC last year. :wub: I'm a bit peeved though about the extra tracks added to the deluxe edition of 'Born To Die' having bought the album back in February. The extra tracks would've made a nice second album and had 'Ride' been given a late January 2013 release, it might've fared better. Possibly. :D 59 (**) McFly ~ Love Is Easy ~ 1 [59] They were one of my guilty pleasures when they burst onto the scene in 2004. I just liked quite a lot of their tracks and it's great to see McFly still being successful - 36k for a #10 single is fairly good going.

Thanks Hits! 03 - I had no idea anyone else was after it, had I known that a. you were considering it and b. everyone had said it was rubbish I probably wouldn't have entered it and gone with Summer Camp instead! 04 - I like this version a lot, but I can't say I've been overly fussed about her other singles so far. 12 - Indeed, I'm still absolutely loving it! 17 - Agreed! :D 26 - Yeah, Little Talks didn't do anything for me when it was entered into BJSC but I now really like it, and I'm liking this track a lot too! 27 - I feel kind of the same. Nevertheless I am looking forward to a new album from her! 36 - I'd say you're right there, I think it could have the similar legacy to that of Goldeneye. 37 - They should hopefully be huge! I do prefer Lies too. 55 - I agree, but then again I'm glad she re-released the album with 8 bonus tracks rather than just 2 or 3, it made the purchase far more worthwhile! 59 - This is pretty decent, if a bit Eurovision-y. It May Be Winter Outside is comfortably the best track on there, other than that it's quite a drab album I thought. It's only my album of the week by default really :lol: 08 - I've been trying to find it for ages and then suddenly it appeared on Amazon :lol:. I really like it, such a subtle but charming song. 34 - Agreed! It's a bit of a predictable choice! 42 - It was a well deserved second place! :D 46 - It won't stick around on my chart, but it is a decent track! 55 - I've not listened to it yet, but it takes me a while to grow to like her songs so I'll have to give it a number of listens before I can pass judgement on it!
