Live Your Life is just SCREAMING for a single release. And Steal My Breath Away should've been released in place of Sight of You (though I do love it). British Swag though, major NO NO. :P

Hush Joseph. You're just not down with the kids like me.

And Kill Me Tonight is my ABSOLUTE favourite on the album. The lyrics are so meaningful  ("Fortune teller predicted, my career gon' be wicked!!!)

That GIF is frightening.

Kill Me Tonight is a fantastic song though, would also do well as a single. But Live Your Life is my favourite non-Young song.

Since when has The Power Of Love been a Christmas song? I'd only even associated it with Christmas because of the John Lewis ad - and then, that would only apply to the Gabrielle Aplin version. (Using that judgement, Your Song should be a Christmas song)

I don't think it's a Christmas song either but many people do consider it to be one for some reason so I thought it's best to include it in the update anyway.

Because it was a) released at Christmas back in 1984, and b) the video is pretty much a retelling of the nativity :D

I assume that's sarcasm!

She better keep releasing songs once the album is out, even if they flop. I hate how a lot of artists are scared of releasing songs if one fails to get top 40! There are SO many potential hits on the album!

Well the lyrics ARE actually meaningful in the song, but i may have just chosen my favourite one, which unfortunately doesn't really support my point . The next one is about her shit love life which would have made more sense.

Looks like the single version of 'Diamonds' has been deleted. Retarded move by her label as it had 2 versions selling well but now the album version is going to have to climb up to about #3 in its own right if the song is gonna continue selling as it was. Up to #16 now anyway so it might manage it, but still a stupid move.

The remaining version of Diamonds will just start selling as much as the two versions were combined, there's no reason having two versions would make you sell better. Barring the temporary loss of the top 10 effect (which it will probably still get somewhat with the ridiculous reverting anyway), there's nothing lost from deleting the single version.

That explains it then. I've never seen the video and wasn't alive at that point (coupled with the fact I'm probably not a big enough chart geek to have noticed that), hence my ignorance as to why people are classifying it as a Christmas song. :( :D

Thanks for confirming that I am a) OLD, and b) a chart Geek!

I'm pleasantly surprised by the longevity of 'Girl On Fire'. I thought that, after Alicia's XF performance, GOF would freefall since it's not the most catchy/commercial song. Hopefully it'll be a long runner in the top 10.

Nowt all wrong with getting old (everyone has to age at some point!), and definately nothing wrong with being a chart geek (I wouldn't be here if I didn't have at least a little chart geek inside me. :D).

It probably feels wrong to people to pay only 79p for such a good song.
