The semi-final is currently taking place in Malta, and by the end of tonight we will know the 16 finalists who will take part in the final tomorrow night!
It seems a little pointless to only lose 6 songs tonight, why not just make it the final with all 24?
I feel like I've been watching this semi final for about a month, and we're only half way through the songs :drama: Claudia Faniello by far the strongest so far...

I've just tuned in, apparently it started over 2 and a half hours ago! :o We could be going until midnight at this rate!
I lasted until about song 5, around the time of the Charlene Tilton lookalike. There was only so far I could go before losing the will to live!
Whoever came up with the concept for this NF is obviously not familiar with the phrase "quality over quantity". We could have done without at least 12 of these songs so far.

Gianluca seemed to emerge as a favourite last night, so I'd say it's between him and Kevin with Claudia and Davinia as outside contenders. I'd be quite surprised if any of the others triumphed.

Kurt Calleja has just performed a medley of songs including 'Live While We're Young', 'Don't You Worry Child' and his own song 'This Is The Night'!

Results can't be too far away now...

'Tomorrow' by Gianluca Bezzina has won and beat a massive favourite in Kevin Borg! From what I heard of the songs, 'Tomorrow' was one of the best so good choice Malta! :cheer:

Here's the preview video for the song:

Hmm, he has quite an interesting voice/accent, very British sounding. A really pleasant song which I could easily see in the Eurovision final, my second favourite so far after Only Teardrops. He seems very charismatic and I'm glad it's not another limp pop/dance song a la Malta's last few entries! Needing You was a bit pedestrian so I'm not disappointed that it didn't win.

Well it's better than This Is The Night but that seriously wasn't hard at all.

Eh, I suppose it's nice enough. Beats Belgium in the male singer MoR stakes.

it's arguably the best eurovision song I've ever heard, i'm seriously stunned by its flawless charm, could be a platinum selling uk number one single
Malta's best entry for a while, if that doesn't make the final 24, I'll be gobsmacked to be honest, its so damn catchy.

That's some praise, watch out Gina G, Gianluca's coming for your wig!

Bitch, I only have one word for you.

SANREMO.

(happening for about 4-5 days with the final show being over 5 hours long)
