I never really heard the DM similarity - Hurts always reminded me of Simple Minds a lot more.

I notice the similarity between Hurts and Depeche Mode but I wouldn't really get too obsessed over how much they are the same.

On a side note, Hurts actually inspired me to listen to Depeche Mode (a band that I never heard of, forgive me for that since I was born in the late 80s) and I am quite into DM now.

The Miracle video quite under-represents the song in my opinion.

Never heard OF Depeche Mode? Not even 'Enjoy The Silence'? :o

I was born in 1989 and I've been a big fan since I heard Freelove for the first time in 2001/2002. <3

This is good.

Muse are good.

Simple Minds were good.

Don't be so pressed.

Muse were very good. Much like Hurts were good.

Simple Minds were really good pre-1987ish.

Were Hurts good?

Maybe Illuminated and Sunday were good.

Well Wonderful Life was all sorts of amazing. Liked Black Silver and Gold too.

No need to be amazed. English isn't my first language.

WF was much better than most of the album. In general, with Hurts I couldn't get away from the sub-boy band lyrics and mid-80s soulless sound. Awful.

Neither it is mine :D

Pav - you have better English that most native speakers I know - never mind better than every non-native speaker I know, also.

We can't compare ordinary people with you.

I'm just saying Depeche Mode used to be pretty big even in this hole. No excuses for not knowing who DM are ~

No excuse? Do YOU intend to start an argument with me? I didn't even listen to pop music until 2000.

I'm not trying to start an arguement. :D

(they were still active in 2000's :D )

Did anyone else went to thier gig at Heaven?

It was an amazing concert, obviously.

"Exile", "Cupid" and especially "Blind" sound IMMENSE! "Blind" needs to be a single so RedOne samples it in 2015 for JLo.

amazing.

I was there. And at their Berlin show last night :smoke:

LOVE the new material. Cupid is the darkest thing they've ever done, and yet somehow quite disco. Blind has #1 in Russia written all over it. They have a history of picking terrible lead singles thinking about it, Illuminated should have been single #1 from Happiness, and Blind from Exile. GAGGING for the album

I would say Better Than Love was a good lead single and Wonderful Life was a good follow up. Sunday should've been 3rd with Stay closing the campaign though, but I'm sure there were just not bothered about which singles would put them centered on the mainstream.

How was Berlin? As amazing as Heaven or did they change it up a little bit? :)

Stay became their second biggest hit. It went to #3 in Germany. It was clearly the best choice.

To be honest their singles choices have been flawless. They released all my favourite songs except for Evelyn.

Sandman sounds really kewl. IN LOVE.

What about 'Illuminated'? That was the key single, it was left far too late.
