Definitely Talk That Talk....

It had everything for it to be MASSIVE....

It never felt like a single though and the fact that it didnt even get a video killed any momentum it could have.

A nice release + a good video could've make it huge. Also Roc Me Out from TTT

Demi Lovato is too American imo for the UK charts. I detest "Skyscraper".

Agree about Jessie Ware and Bat for Lashes - their albums are brilliant! Obviously, it's fanbase r us and who is the flavour of the month who get hits.

Will Young's "Echoes" era was ignored bar "Jealousy". Why radio stations insist on that one song I'd love to know, when the likes of Bruno Mars with his drippy love ballads like "I want your dripping wet pussy" get auto pick over a talented artist. "Losing Myself" and "I Just Want A Lover" are gorgeous up-tempo songs with artistic videos, The man is a talent.

He's one of my favourites as well! :o

But the difference is that his opinion is the right one. :kink:

I remember hearing the Echoes singles a fair few times on Radio 2, although he is the sort of artist they love.

Nothing but this comes to mind...

Massive hit EVERYWHERE in Europe! Number 1 for something like 7627 weeks in most countries! We would have lapped this up, just as much as we lapped up 'Gangnam Style'/'We No Speak Americano'/'Bom Bom' etc.. We even had a UK-friendly remix. But NO AIRPLAY, PROMOTION OR ANYTHING. Limps into the top 75 here... I would like to say it's just waiting to blow up here and that it will happen next year sometime. But it's time has definitely passed and it most certainly won't happen. :drama:

Such a shame. :(

what part of 'underrated' have we missed here???

this song is one of the most overrated songs in chart history, number 1 in 20 countries and sounds like a Boney M leftover from 1976 translated into portugese and recorded in his bathroom...

this definitly should not be on this list, same goes for Demi Levato and Ellie Goulding who both scored huge US hits....

when i said underrated i didn't only mean the UK chart.....

Sorry. But any reason for you to be rude? Maybe you should have stated that you meant WW in one of your posts or at least made it clearer! You can't blame us for assuming you meant UK considering you put it in the UK CHART FORUM and didn't state you meant globally. Jeez louise.
Both Demi Lovato's, Lemar Invincible & Noisettes - That Girl. I'd also add the infectious Yeah Yeah by Willy Moon. Just keeps growing and deserves better.

A few more:

Bastille - Flaws

Madeon - Finale

The Vaccines - Teenage Icon

Passion Pit - Take a Walk

King Charles - LoveBlood

"Locked Out of Heaven" is infinitely more interesting than anything Will Young has ever released, sorry.

Everything Everything - Cough Cough

Willy Moon - Yeah Yeah

Both minor hits but should have done far better, hopefully "Kemosabe" by the former will do really well.

Kylie Minogue - Flower [best her song in last 10 years]

Steps - Light Up The World [VERY EARLY date of realise, it's a good song for top 15-20 on Xmas week]

Amy Macdonald - Slow It Down [my # 1 singer on British pop scence in some last years]

I never meant to be rude, i was just being sarcastic ....

Any 2012 single from Lisa Hannigan's "Passenger" album. She's just phenomenal, yet none of her albums or singles have come close to charting in the UK.

Ok this wasn't exactly a flop, but it should of been massive

Kelly Clarkson - Catchy My Breath. Deserved so much better than a shitty #51 peak

All-Time Low - Timebomb. Maybe unpopular here or not, but I genuinally thought this was going to be a massive hit here

Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us. Screaming out to be a single

Carrie Underwood - Good Girl and Blown Away. Massive successes in the US, hoped they would have done something over here when she began to promote. But alas it was not meant to be

Disagreed so much. For one, I fail to see how such averageness can be considered more interesting than 'Jealousy', but there were some quite sophisticated pop on the parent album.
