Hello there, and welcome to my end of year 2012 chart. Unlike last year, this countdown will be comprised of a Top 80 one and as usual, it is comprised SOLELY OF PLAYS (AKA SALES)!

Kerli - Zero Gravity

The winner of this award is no other than Kerli, who topped the Daehunese chart earlier this year for 4 weeks straight (and the longest stay at #1 by a non-Girls' Generation/B.A.P artist for one song). Discovered due to the introduction of this by no other than Buzzjack's Umi/James, this song has managed to capture our attention due to its creative music video and its similarity to Lady Gaga's work fuelled by an intense dance breakdown towards the later end of the song.

Best Ballad Song of the Year

-Awarded for the most played ballad song on the chart.
-All songs in any language eligible.

Ailee - Heaven

Described as a R&B Ballad (although one might classify it as mid-tempo), Ailee's first debut single "Heaven" managed to comfortably snatch this award. First entered into the scene on YouTube as a cover girl, she went onto Korea to become a trainee and eventually got signed and produced this masterpiece. Heaven informs listeners about how one could not forget the lost loved ones and memories of their past haunts them. This track was also entered to BJSC but failed to reach the finals, becoming 2 points short of qualifying.

Best Foreign Song of the Year (Non English)

-Awarded to the most played song on the Daehunese chart.
-Must be in any languages other than English/Asian.

Shy'm - Et Alors !

The award goes to none other than France's Princess of Pop, Shy'm with her comeback lead single "Et Alors !". Discovered in Daehun via Umiirukan tourists, the song has a repetitive hook and chorus which fills the listeners mind instantly with this song. The highest charting French Pop song in Daehun ever, next year will see the explosion of this genre in Daehun no doubt.

Girls' Generation - Paparazzi

Girls' Generation's comeback Japanese single "Paparazzi" sweeped this award easily. Their comeback after a year and a bit in Japan, this song is described to be euro-pop in Japanese with a decent set of production. This song is also featured in Daehun's Top 10 most played song of the year, competing with the likes of B.A.P and T-ara for the #1 most played song of the year in Daehun. In BJSC news, this song is Daehun's most awarded entry ever with 148 points and our second highest position coming 5th behind Ailee's I Will Show You.

Best Indie Song of the Year

-Awarded to the most played Indie song of the year.

Admist the award ceremony, there has been a twist within this category nomination. Both Lana Del Rey and iamamiwhoami received the same plays within the entire, thus both "play" and "Video Games" were crowned the best indie song of the year. Lana's Video Games proved to be a grower in Daehun, with it bubbling underneath for 3 weeks straight until the surge into the 8th position. iamamiwhoami's play also received a similar situation as it bubbled underneath prior to charting but only for one week. "Video Games" is described as a depressing indie song by the nation which at the same time, is soothing to the ears of the listeners whereas "play" is seen as a song, which is admittedly a bit weird to understand, contains a crazy lunatic witch prancing around like a lost monkey throughout unknown fields of the west and in a barn on the scenes of video.

-Awarded to up to THREE songs whom are most loved by us.
-ALL BJSC entries are eligible for this award as long as it was entered within the 2012 time frame.
-Regardless of qualifying to the final.
-Must NOT be a Daehun entry and must be discovered by a method of means related to BJSC.

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

First award is presented to none other than Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe. A hit worldwide and currently the 2nd best selling song of 2012, this song was initially entered in BJSC by Ramrynia which achieved a decent placing of 7th position. Described a teen-pop/bubblegum-pop, it has a catchy melody and chorus with the string accompany with a gay twist music video further championing its right as one of the three songs to win this.

Shy'm - Et Alors !

Shy'm has done it again with Et Alors ! Achieving the second award for this category tonight, this brings her the first act to have won more than one award in Daehun's 1st Music Awards held in Golee. Enough said, she is one of the most successful French artists and known as the Cheryl Cole of France for her beauty and elegance.

Gathania - Nobody's Breaking Me

The last award is presented to Gathania with her song "Nobody's Breaking Me". Failed to qualify and sent by Aquafina in BJSC, this song has reached #1 on our chart due to its sudden explosion reportedly due to its heavy synth productions within the song.
