December 23, 201212 yr So low for Seo In Young (what is this about her being queen of bitchiness?) and 2NE1 :( Best K-Pop songs of 2012.
December 23, 201212 yr Author So low for Seo In Young (what is this about her being queen of bitchiness?) and 2NE1 :( Best K-Pop songs of 2012. She's just one of the top bitchiest females in Korea. Her constant poses, looks, imagery and what she says and criticises on music talent shows speaks for itself.
December 23, 201212 yr Author #46: B.A.P - It's All Lies Chart Run: (3-8-15-9-11-16-26-32-35-xx) Points: 214 Plays: 361 TQqUz_GhvEc One of many B.A.P entries, "It's All Lies" splashes in with 361 plays at #46. I quite like B.A.P ballads myself admittedly (not because I loon them or anything) and Daehyun's voice is very soulful and peaceful in this tune that it makes my body go "AWWW". #45: Ivi Adamou - La La Love Chart Run: (2-2-2-5-9-15-31-38-xx) Points: 224 Plays: 367 4yYlH_p_4ic The second best 2012 Eurovision entry AND the best Cyprus entry ever, is "La La Love". Much prefer the studio version over the live as she sounds a bit like a man during her performances, this song was stuck behind multiple occasions which inevitably made it lose out on #1 each time. #44: VIXX - Rock Ur Body Chart Run: (3-5-11-13-19-15-11-14-21-24-33-40-xx) Points: 283 Plays: 372 xG2sHvfRVOg And yes we're back to the boy groups again AND another rookie one. Song wise, it's a bit of a mess with the productions and their dance routine isn't that good either. BUT it's one of them guilty pleasures of mine and so catchy too so...here it is. #43: Block B - Nillili Mambo Chart Run: (3-3-5-19-29-xx) Points: 146 Plays: 374 4AYJZvHeKFo Bit front loaded really and charted for only 5 weeks! Anyways, this is the last of the Block B songs to come into this countdown and with their second best song ever, "Nillili Mambo" marks their comeback after a lengthy scandal period. #42: KARA - Pandora Chart Run: (2-5-8-15-20-29-39-xx) Points: 169 Plays: 375 g0XpNvLWimo Nothing will beat "Mister" or "STEP" for me when it comes to KARA. "Pandora" is a decent enough song, with not much longevity again however. UMI IS APPALLED AT HOW LOW THIS IS BUT I DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIS OPINION. Mister >>> STEP >>>>> LUPIN >>>>> PANDORA. December 23, 201212 yr Author #41: SHINee - Sherlock (Clue+Note) Chart Run: (4-3-6-8-18-29-31-37-40-xx) Points: 193 Plays: 379 8kyG5tTZ1iE The only entry for SHINee this year sadly. Previously my most favourite boy group EVER (mainly because of Jonghyun), their recent materials have been a big letdown and their Japanese songs are a bit.......iffy at times. Stick to Korea please with your infectious dance moves and hooks. #40: T-ara - Don't Leave Chart Run: (16-15-24-29-36-37-31-35-39-32-xx) Points: 116 Plays: 383 g_lb9KYwUlQ Oh T-ara...my second most adored group. Shame they constantly have these useless and unnecessary scandals with a shit CEO to back them up. Anyways this track is off the Mirage album which contains the mighty "Day By Day" and then this song. Lovely is all I can describe this as. #39: Kyarypamyupamyu - PONPONPON Chart Run: PONPONPON (2-3-5-5-9-16-17-22-24-33-xx-15-22-27-36-xx) Points: 338 Plays: 400 pb3IdLdIc6s Princess of Electronic J-Pop, Kyarypamyupamyu. Infectious, cute, catchy, hooky, adorable, sweet and cheery. What is there NOT to like about her and this song? "PONPONPON", definitely her best track comes in straight at #39 and deservingly. Another one of these artists to look out for 2013 as I can see her being huge in Japan (and hopefully worldwide!) #38: B.A.P - Dancing In The Rain Chart Run: (4-3-3-5-7-13-17-20-34-39-xx) Points: 265 Plays: 401 iyB80xKOzgM B.A.P comes straight in again, with an album track "Dancing In The Rain" at #37. This is unusual as it's a complete different sound from their previous material. I'd describe it as a boy group euro-pop song covered with Korean lyrics and a hook. JONJO WHERE ARE YOU? YOU'RE THE ONLY OTHER APPRECIATOR OF THIS TRACK ON THIS FORUM! #37: Shy'm - Et Alors ! Chart Run: (4-5-17-23-30-29-32-8-17-25-34-40-40-36-38-xx) Points: 237 Plays: 412 2zdqymnZoHc *Umi EXPLODES with joy* Shy'm, my most favourite French artist so far and with the best ever French pop song, "Et Alors !" debuts highly at the top half of the countdown. The song is SO addictive, with the constant whistles and "ba ba bala ba bah" parts. This girl is STUNNING as well and she's another one of the artists to look out for highly in 2013. December 25, 201212 yr Author #36: AOA - Elvis Chart Run: (6-7-8-5-7-9-14-18-27-36-xx) Points: 273 Plays: 412 e5KOIrBcwj8 Now coming to a new girl group of the year, AOA, with a brilliant rapper and highly talented group as well. Shame for now, they're a one hit wonder in my chart as their next song "Get Out" was such a disappointment compared to "Elvis". #35: Gathania - Nobody's Breaking Me Chart Run: (1-3-3-9-18-26-35-33-30-40-xx) Points: 212 Plays: 422 U-MeYTObZJQ I wasn't fully aware of her until this song popped up on Scandipop. "Nobody's Breaking Me" is an excellent example of swedish pop music. Fulled with synths and infectiously catchy, the production is too strong for anyone to ignore it. Gutted that it became a DNQ in BJSC after Aquafina sent it. Not worthy of just a semi-finalist. #34: B2ST - Beautiful Night Chart Run: (4-4-6-9-14-18-25-xx) Points: 206 Plays: 427 ckIGhwQtd-c I have no idea why this track just suddenly dropped out of my chart after reaching a minimum position of #25, perhaps a week fulled with 10+ new releases? Anyways it's another one of these generic and trashy K-Pop boy group songs. Have been following them for a while now and they never disappoint me and this track certainly filled up my expectations of them. #33: Ke$ha - Die Young Chart Run: Ke$ha - Die Young (1-1-3-4-7-8-9-9-7-9-8-8-11) [sTILL CHARTING] Points: 448 Plays: 428 NOubzHCUt48 Onto a big pointer now, Ke$ha's comeback track "Die Young" enters here but had it been released earlier, it no doubt would appear higher. As generic as some thinks, I don't think it's necessary a bad thing as once I started listening to it, it wouldn't leave my head at all. I'd probably place Ke$ha as my second most favourite western popstar as well, just behind the supreme Lady Gaga. Oh the music video is a bit controversal as well, as some might as illuminati is too much there (for those who think it's a legit cult). #32: Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble. Chart Run: Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble. (10-1-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-7) [sTILL CHARTING] Points: 385 Plays: 429 vNoKguSdy4Y A crazy amount of stays at #6 (8 weeks!), "I Knew You Were Trouble." is easily my third most adored Taylor song slightly behind "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me". This track is probably the poppiest track on the album "Red" and certainly the poppiest track Taylor has ever made. Pop Taylor >>> Country Taylor (from what I've heard so far anyways). Oh and the music video is a generic female popstar video, so nothing special. Edited January 1, 201312 yr by Oricon
December 27, 201212 yr Author Shy'm, iamamiwhoami, Carly Rae Jepsen <3 Where's the love for Lana Del Ray and Tone Damli?!
December 27, 201212 yr Die Young and I Knew You Were Trouble could be my top 2 next week (and will save their full impact for 2013) :o Weird seeing them next to each other. Good so far young Yu.
December 27, 201212 yr Author #31: Girls' Generation TaeTiSeo - Twinkle Chart Run: (5-13-18-27-26-28-33-33-39-40-xx) Points: 148 Plays: 430 JmM04_OgajU A heavy frontloaded song, did this well only due to being tagged with Girls' Generation. A sub-unit of the main group comprising of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun (the main vocals of Girls' Generation),"Twinkle" is a pleasant retro-pop song, although at first underwhelming and is a grower with strong vocals to go with it. Bar this...nothing else to say really.. #30: Loreen - Euphoria Chart Run: (26-3-5-13-19-31-38-38-xx-10-1-3-6-10-16-32-37-xx) Points: 368 Plays: 439 bcnWysA9gxo Eurovision Song Contest 2012 winner, Loreen enters in at #30 with the amazing pop song "Euphoria". Everything about the song is rather Euphoric and *.*, those vocals and the production to the song compliment one another. Probably the best ESC winner ever for me. #29: Ailee - Heaven Chart Run: (9-2-3-3-6-7-11-14-20-27-37-40-40-39-xx) Points: 316 Plays: 443 L9ro1KjkJMg Ailee's first debut song after her series of covers as a YouTube Cover Girl. "Heaven" is sadly one of them BJSC DNQers and missing out by just 2 points from qualifying. It's a lovely R&B ballad with powerful vocals by Ailee. Certainly one of the best debut songs this year as well and also currently Top 10 in Korea's digital songs of the year.[/b] #28: Rebecca Stella - Give Me That O Chart Run: (2-3-2-3-7-11-20-26-30-37-xx-30) [sTILL CHARTING] Points: 280 Plays: 462 Rl188WGVUS8 The song which brought us, Daehun, from our floppage and our only English entry so far. "Give Me That O (Octopus)" is a generic female-pop song by the Swedish artist and model Rebecca Stella. It also gave us our peak before Girls' Generation and Ailee came along. #27: Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe Chart Run: (2-2-4-4-5-7-10-12-13-16-22-27-36-33-38-38-xx) Points: 387 Plays: 474 fWNaR-rxAic Hey I just met you, and this is crazy...What a catchy and superb bubblegum pop. Accompanied with a lovely string melody, it's just everything a teenage female-pop song requires....except Carly is 26 but disregard that. The music video is also all sorts of 11/10 moments with its plot twist at the end of the video. Shame she's forever going to be seen as a one-hit wonder. Also, this song was sent by alliance member Ramrynia in BJSC, a month before it exploded everywhere on the planet. #26: B.A.P - Unbreakable Chart Run: (9-12-17-17-27-4-6-10-10-10-12-24-7-15-23-33-37-40-xx) Points: 394 Plays: 484 dxiI4vNzn7o Here we go....B.A.P comes in again with a semi-ballad song "Unbreakable" reaching here at #25. It's a superb song from them and it shows off their soft side as opposed to their constant hardcore image back then. Daehyun's vocals in this song is just so LUSH. #25: f(x) - Electric Shock Chart Run: (2-2-2-8-19-28-32-26-25-17-21-25-31-xx) Points: 295 Plays: 496 n8I8QGFA1oM Oh what a shame, f(x) along with 2NE1 are one of my top girl groups who have never scored a #1 on my chart despite both reaching #2 multiple times. Stopped by their labelmate Girls' Generation from getting #1, "Electric Shock" is an immense electro-pop song with strong productions to go with it. Their unique sounds have stayed as per usual. This song was also sent by Daehun friendly nation, Unovia, and reached a respective position on the BJSC Finals #24: Girls' Generation - FLOWER POWER Chart Run: (4-1-4-3-4-4-4-8) [sTILL CHARTING] Points: 296 Plays: 508 jG1cIlM1juw The second last of Girls' Generation entry in this countdown. "FLOWER POWER" was sent by Aquafina and it gave them their personal best with this in BJSC L. The song itself is underwhelming for me as its verses lacks the UMPH factor but the chorus is such a moment. Another factor which was off-putting was that the song sounded like two different tracks put together and mashed up. Still an amazing song nevertheless though #23: Trouble Maker - Troublemaker Chart Run: (6-7-8-9-10-11-14-13-19-25-26-31-34-39-40-xx-28) [sTILL CHARTING Points: 336 Plays: 516 s-zRAQmKUkI The last of HyunA's entries in this, Trouble Maker is a slutty duo comprised of the Princess of K-Pop herself and an underrated member of B2ST Hyunseung. The pair works each and every live performance, with shocking provocative shows swaying the entire Korean public speechlessly. #22: Marina & The Diamonds - Primadonna Chart Run: (1-8-6-3-2-4-10-19-26-29-36-39-xx) Points: 309 Plays: 525 Gj5L9SYhoSE Marina & The Diamond's lead single of her second studio album and her best song to date, "Primadonna" is an amazing synth-electro-pop song. The usage of fake vocals and the synths is just pure *.* moment. Safe to say, I much rather have her pop side than her 'indie' side. Edited January 1, 201312 yr by Oricon
December 27, 201212 yr Author Wow I feel threatened. Die Young and I Knew You Were Trouble could be my top 2 next week (and will save their full impact for 2013) :o Weird seeing them next to each other. Good so far young Yu. YAY, finally you 'get' them songs. Both 11/10 songs (shocker). Thanks! I am older than you but whatever, being young is always a compliment right? :D
December 27, 201212 yr Author Oh she would, just wait until she dominates the American scene in 2013 with her slutty pop songs.
December 27, 201212 yr Author Are you implying that I'm some creepy dude here?! Sluts are just *.* in Daehun. Edited December 27, 201212 yr by Oricon
