Obviously some disgruntled Germans don't want Cascada representing them. So if Cascada got disqualified would they rather send 2nd placers La BrassBanda? :manson:

Anyway, cases like this come and go in ESC each year. Ireland's 2003 entry We've Got The World Tonight was far more similar than Fly On The Wings Of Love than Glorious will ever be to Euphoria and that didn't get disqualified!

It be ridiculous for them to be disqualified when they have just qualified as germanys entry. If that was going to be the case why don't they check before entering. These reports are very tedious. I'm sure it won't affect cascada though.

Based on Cascada's recent record, I'm pretty sure the chorus goes "we're glorious, for never til the start of time..." :kink:

Do agree though, it's so much better an entry than LaBrassBanda and if anything it sounds like Don't You Worry Child more than it does Euphoria...

Yep and bits of Titanium too but not much.

It's not plagiarism in the slightest anyhow. It'd be silly to disqualify it, considering songs with what I'd call clear cut samples have made it to Eurovision before :/

Most eurovision songs sound identical imo.

Euphorius doesn't even come close to the hilarious Pandora-Scooch showdown in 2007...

I do find it amusing how there was a segment about this on BBC Breakfast this morning though. The BBC have broadcast the German entry before they've even bothered to tell us how/who/what they are choosing as our entrant  People who don't follow the selections closely must be wondering how Germany have an entry and we don't! And moreso, how Germany have managed to land Cascada who a lot of Brits tend to think is a British act!

She had a point, it does sound very similar. Scooch had a lot of controversy - backing singer-gate, plagiarism-gate, Charlotte Church-gate, at least two of those took them onto the front cover of one of the UK tabloids iirc and all helped towards getting them a UK top five hit! Was nice to see our entry get so much press for once, even if it was all bad
Of course! And the unforgettable 12 from Malta! What a classic year for the UK entry, despite doing as bad as always!

Or let's go back to...

The same old same old...

And the unforgettable 12 from Malta!

That was AMAZING!

1:50

The blonde one was so happy too! And then they went to Estonia, where the sun sets at about 1am apparently :kink:

How sad is it, that that was the last 12 for the UK until Bulgaria troll-voted Blue
Bulgaria are sensational with their votes as well! 12 points for No Angels!
Jade got 12 from Greece I think in 2009, but yeah so little 12s for the UK but its all we deserve for most of the time! :(
I really thought we were going to win after we got the opening 12 from Bulgaria in 2011
Ah right, the one 12 Rybak and diaspora didn't steal
Germany will not win Eurovision this year or come top 5. This is similar in style to Euphoria and Eurovision never has 2 of the same style of winners in a row, if anything it will be the opposite of this that win. Just wait and see.
Just saw the Glorious video on Clubland TV! Nice to see the music channels getting in here early this year, although it helps that Cascada are an AATW act of course!
