One day I'll update to show how I rate them now, some records would now be higher, some lower, some missing would be in... I think, blowing my own trumpet, I can't be accused of preferring any one style of music, just of preferring some artists. In this list there is bhangra, opera, rock, pop, country, ballads, indie, r'n'b, rave, rap, MOR, latino, dance. I don't care as long as it's got something great about it. 1997 was a good year. Nothing on "White On Blonde" can't beat "Summer Son" and "When We Are Together" for me. "2 Become 1" is my favourite single from Spice Girls. "Who Do You Think You Are" video is everything for fun. "Don't Speak" is wonderful, No Doubt is very similar with one hit wonder status in my charts. Only "It's My Life" and "Ex-Girlfriend" also were in my top 10. Classic songs from Cardigans, Jewel, Savage Garden, Robbie Williams here. I have some thoughts about your modern ranking, but must wait. :)

For instance Ive gone off a few on the list like "Bitch" and "please" so there's at least 2spaces to fill with other hits or non-hits from 1997....:) cheers john
