Ed Sheeran and Melanie Amaro (HAHAHAHAHA FLOP etc) aside (can't quite bring myself to call out Ke$ha), that's a good looking graphic. Bring it on.

I'm still undecided whether to actually feature Melanie. I included her single cover more out of pity.

This countdown is going to be TERRIBLE.

:)

And I already know the Top 2! :yahoo:

I don't think even Melanie herself would include that song.

#5: Ke$ha - "Warrior"

Choice picks: Love Into The Light // Crazy Kids // Warrior

The first album up is Ke$ha's #66 smash "Warrior". It's a pretty great pop album, about the same standard as her debut, and includes a few standouts including "Love Into The Light", such a gorgeous slower track, along with should be single (but won't be because the bitch only likes to release the same old stuff) "Crazy Kids". The album was preceded by "Die Young", which despite being nothing new for her, does feature very high on the singles countdown. I've even come to love the album cover, there's some charm about it (she does know it's technically terrible right - she was going for a sense of irony?).

Stay tuned for #4 when I'll be bringing you another flop before moving onto the big guns..

The only song I have heard from Warrior is Die Young, and I f***ing love it!
Still yet to listen to Warrior. Saw it in town yesterday and couldn't bring myself to buy it without downloading first whereas I bought Animal and Cannibal off the strength of their lead singles alone. 'Die Young' has scarred me for life.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you don't have the best of music tastes. Taylor Swift's new material is a million times better than her old material and the only single on Warrior that matches up to Die Young is Your Love Is My Drug (and Blow if I'm in the right mood). :D

#4: Carly Rae Jepsen - "Kiss"

Choice picks: Curiosity // Tiny Little Bows // Guitar String/Wedding Ring

Here we have Griff's favourite artist and my personal favourite new act of 2012. Carly exploded onto the scene earlier in the year with "Call Me Maybe" thanks to some help from Justin Bieber (who is somewhere in the top 3 here - prediction time!). The entire album is really catchy bubblegum pop with the Justin Bieber collab actually being one of the weaker links. Despite having one of the biggest hits of the year (+ "Good Time"), the album very undeservedly underperformed and "This Kiss" hasn't done anything either. Hopefully King Justin will save her once again as she's supporting him on tour next March and what a night that will be. Perhaps this should've been top 3 as it actually has less filler than whoever has taken the bronze, but the highs just aren't quite as high.

Thanks for acknowledging this particular fact. :) Is Rita Ora going to be in this countdown? She's my favourite artist. ^_^

(oh god this is just like our pm conversation this morning that i need to reply to at some point isn't it)

#3: Justin Bieber - "Believe"

Choice picks:

// Maria //

The album that beat Cherly to #1 *.* A great progression from his debut "My Worlds", "Believe" isn't without it's fair share of filler (mainly the slower moments) but boy does it include hits and thankfully we can rely on Justin to deliver on the single choices. There are influences from Michael Jackson in bonus track "Maria", a song written about "his baby" (as if he'd choose anyone except myself to be the mother of his child) along with a fab choir on the inspiring title track. The collabs bring some real moments - "the grass isn't always greener on the other side it's greener where you water it" by Big Sean being one of lyrical genius and follow-up single "Beauty And A Beat" featuring Nicki Minaj having the video of the year. Such fun.

Appreciate.

(the only disappointment of the video being that there wasn't really a hacker who'd be leaking PICTURES)

I should like Beauty And The Beat, but not even Queen Nicki can save that burning wreck of a song. :( :kink:

Beauty and the Beat sounds AWFUL. Beauty and a Beat however is AMAZING.

Bre, why have you hacked into Joseph's account?

Oh Griff, that's the most horrible form of shade EVER.
