Apologies for the non-existent commentary but I just can't be arsed at the moment. I'll try my best for the Top 10 though! ^_^
And Jahq. I can exclusively reveal that Gotye has made the EOY #1! :w00t: We can all go home now. (or can we? :kink:)

Can it be a different version :( I really like "Somebody That I Used To Know" as a song with someone else singing it but Gotye, eww.

Everyone probably knows this already, but the Gotye thing was sarcasm (not referring to you, Jahq). It has a good chance of making #1 but there are very good songs of that quality in the Top 10 as well. ^_^

10 songs left! :o :D

AAAAYYYYYYYYYY SEXY LADY. What an incredible song. I first heard this song in Spetember and I f***ing loved it and was obsessed with it from the first listen. It was so different to everything else in the charts at that point. It deservedly went to #1 and has stuck around in the Top 10 ever since, this is definitely going to be a cultural phonemon that people are going to remember forever. :D

WHAT a mainstream WHORE.

Mainstream music is in the best state that it's ever been in, how are Pictures and 45 mainstream though? :kink:

I don't see anything on this page or in the top 10 that an average member of the public should fail to recognise.

I'm just finding it quite funny that your top 10 could easily pass for a list of 'biggest hits worldwide this year'.

My mum actually introduced me to this song. :o She had heard this really good song on the radio and she showed me the song on YouTube. Needless to say, a couple of listens later, I thought that this was one of the best songs that was ever created. It went to #1 in the official chart and stuck around the Top 10 for months on end. Airplay on radio stations sort of killed the song for me, but listening to it agian has reinforced my love for the song.

All of these songs are incredible and are genuinely worthy of my love, I could listen to music from BJSC but I don't feel the need and I don't particularly want to either, Call Me Maybe was really low down in my chart, and Feel The Love and Don't You Worry Child weren't exactly the biggest hits worldwide of 2012.

IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY IT AT ALL

I wasn't mad on this song to begin with. I even found it cringey on my first listen, but my opinion soon changed after that experience. A month later, it was #2 in my personal chart and it was still sticking around the Top 5 of the UK chart! It stuck around in the chart for so long that I ended up completely heads-over-heels in love for it by the time it left the Top 10. Airplay has slightly killed it for me, but this is an extremely solid pop song and I wouldn't be surprised if it's in my favourite songs of all time in a few months or years.

Your Top 10 is SO MAINSTREAM/GENERIC. Why not expand your music taste a bit more? :(

What a song! I first heard it in March through a YouTube link that Tirren gave to Hitstastic and I was in love with it from first listen. I couldn't stop listening to the song for the next three days, I was that addicted to the song! And when it was available on UK iTunes, I downloaded it and it had four times as much listens as my second most played song after a while!  I longed and prayed for the song to smash through into the charts, and when it did, I felt like a proud mother. It did seem overrated on here, but f*** the haters, Jonjo et all just wanted to give everyone on Buzzjack an incredible music lesson. :kink: And the above performance is my favourite performance of the song, the final performance of the song can die. By far my favourite Eurovision song ever.

Sorry. :( I know a lot more about music than my friends do, just because I don't have a wide music taste like the rest of Buzzjack, it doesn't mean that I have a wider music taste than the general public, a lot of songs in this countdown aren't known by the general public at all, they're just lower down (apart from Pictures which is in my Top 20). ^_^
