Right By My Side - Nicki Minaj feat. Chris Brown Peak: No.5 137 Points/548,000 Sales Chart Run: 14-09-06-05-06-07-09-11-12-14-15-17-18-19-18-19 This only made it to no.70 on the UK chart but become a Top 5 success on mine becoming Chris' biggest hit of the year. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a8/SilhouettesAvicii.jpg 21. Silhouettes - Avicii Peak: No.1 141 Points/564,000 Sales Chart Run: 01-03-05-06-04-06-08-09-12-16-20 This went straight in at no.1 giving the Swedish DJ his first solo hit on my chart, he previously charted the year before alongside Leona Lewis on the no.9 hit "Collide". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/57/AK_Girl_on_Fire.jpg 20. Girl On Fire - Alicia Keys Peak: No.1 142 Points/568,000 Sales Chart Run: 20-01-01-02-04-05-06-08-09-12 (Still Charting) Despite the fact that my chart had been going for five years when this song made it to no.1 this become Alicas' only ever second chart entry, the other being "No One" which made it to no.3 in 2008. "Girl On Fire" made it to no.5 in the UK but I did think it would be a much bigger success. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/c1/Gotye_featuring_Kimbra_-_Somebody_That_I_Used_to_Know.png/220px-Gotye_featuring_Kimbra_-_Somebody_That_I_Used_to_Know.png 19. Kimbra Peak: No.2 144 Points/576,000 Sales Chart Run: 09-03-02-03-04-04-05-07-12-17 This become the biggest selling single of the year in the UK, I now think the song is overrated and overplayed but do still like it. Before it become commercially successful I absolutely LOVED the track, had the song not become such a monster hit and played to death I may not of got bored of it so quickly. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/MamaDotheHump.jpg 18. Mama Do The Hump - Rizzle Kicks Peak: No.2 146 Points/584,000 Sales (Total: 163 Points/652,000 Sales) 2012 Chart Run: 04-02-02-02-04-07-09-13-14-16-17-RE19-19-20 This was kept off the no.1 spot on my chart by Foster The People and on the UK Chart by Jessie J. It has however become the duos' most successful single selling over 600k in the UK going Platinum as well as on my chart. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4d/TwilightCoverDrive.jpg 17. Twilight - Cover Drive Peak: No.4 149 Points/596,000 Sales Chart Run: 18-08-04-04-06-07-08-09-13-18-12-16-20-RE14-09 (Still Charting) This gave the band from Barbados their first hit on my chart and to date is their only hit. The song made it all the way to the top of the UK chart but only became the 75th biggest-seller of the year. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/21/Pink_-_Try.png 16. Try - P!nk Peak: No.1 151 Points/604,000 Sales Chart Run: 01-01-02-04-06-09-11-13-11-12-15-16 (Still Charting) P!nk is one of the most successful artists on my chart but despite this has only ever had three no.1s, two of which were during 2012. "Try" went straight in at the top staying there for two weeks as well as making the UK Top 10 thanks to an "X Factor" performance. Edited January 16, 201312 yr by Jack!

Astro Peak: No.1 155 Points/620,000 Sales Chart Run: 17-03-01-01-03-04-06-07-07-11-16 This provided Cher Lloyd with a big US hit and her first single to make my chart going all the way to the top for two weeks. There were two versions of the track, the album version with just Cher which was released as a single in the US, but here in the UK the track featured vocals from "American Idol" contestant Astro who is virtually unknown here. 14. Waterfalls - Stooshe Peak: No.1 156 Points/624,000 Sales Chart Run: 18-01-03-03-05-06-07-07-07-08-10 (Still Charting) This was the trios' third single release and their second to make my chart also giving them their second number one. In the UK however it failed to make the UK Top 20 and quickly dropped down the chart. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Cheryl_Cole_Call_My_Name_Single_Cover.jpg 13. The song went straight in at no.1 in the UK selling over 150,000 copies in its first week alone, it has sold over 400k to date. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/91/Karmin-Brokenhearted-single-cover.jpg/220px-Karmin-Brokenhearted-single-cover.jpg 12. The duo have yet to have another hit however they did reach my Top 20 with "Hello". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6f/Back_in_Time_single.jpg/220px-Back_in_Time_single.jpg 11. January 18, 201312 yr Author http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/Ollymurstroublemaker.jpg 10. Troublemaker - Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida Peak: No.1 179 Points/716,000 Sales Chart Run: 17-02-02-01-01-01-01-02-02-02 (Still Charting) IMO this is Ollys' greatest hit and its chart run and point score seem to prove this as it spent nine weeks in the Top 2 during 2012 and has just gone back to number one last week bringing its total points to 217 making it the 27th biggest hit ever already. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/23/Stooshe_Black_Heart_Cover.jpg 09. Black Heart - Stooshe Peak: No.1 197 Points/788,000 Sales Chart Run: 10-01-01-01-02-05-08-12-14-13-14-14-09-09-12-14 (Still Charting) This gorgeous track took a while to make my chart but when it did it made all the way to the top where it stayed for three weeks. The trios' debut did not make my chart but did make the UK Top 5 as did this which became the much bigger hit with sales of over 450k. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7f/CallItWhatYouWant.jpg 08. Call It What You Want - Foster The People Peak: No.1 #30 of 2011 197 Points/788,000 Sales (Total: 332 Points/1,328,000 Sales) 2012 Chart Run: 01-01-01-01-03-06-08-12-12-12-12-15-17-20-RE13-13-13 2x This great track from the American trio became my charts' longest-running no.1 ever staying at the top for 10 weeks, in the UK however it failed to even make the Top 100 peaking at no.139. The bands' debut "Pumped Up Kicks" remains to be a steady seller in the UK and has re-entered my chart twice. "CIWYW" is currently my 5th biggest ever hit. http://cdn01.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2012/09/kesha-die-young-single-artwork.jpg 07. To date Ke$ha has had nine Top 10 hits with this being by far her biggest and to date is my charts' 18th most successful track. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/1a/Nicki_Minaj_Pound_The_Alarm.jpg/300px-Nicki_Minaj_Pound_The_Alarm.jpg 06. So what will my Top 5 look like? Edited January 18, 201312 yr by Jack!
January 22, 201312 yr Author http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/67/DriveBy.jpg/270px-DriveBy.jpg 05. Drive By - Train Peak: No.1 246 Points/984,000 Sales Chart Run: 07-01-01-01-01-01-01-03-04-07-10-11-14-15-15-14-15-16-17-20 This catchy track gave the soft rock trio their second UK Top 10 hit, the other being all the way back in 2001. It spent an impressive six weeks atop of my chart and despite missing out on the UK Top 5 sold more than some chart toppers of the year such as Tulisas' "Young". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b9/Turn_Me_On.jpg/270px-Turn_Me_On.jpg 04. Turn Me On - David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj Peak: No.1 255 Points/1,020,000 Sales Chart Run: 11-01-01-01-01-01-01-02-02-03-05-07-10-15-18-18-18-18-19-17-RE17 This gave David Guetta his first million seller on my chart and his third Top 5 hit in America. The video would certainly be a contender for video of the year which sees Guetta as a scientist creating Nicki Minaj. There is still one more Nicki Minaj track to come on this countdown, any guesses? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b6/Pink_-_Blow_Me_(One_Last_Kiss).jpg/270px-Pink_-_Blow_Me_(One_Last_Kiss).jpg 03. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) - P!nk Peak: No.1 277 Points/1,108,000 Sales Chart Run: 15-03-02-01-03-03-02-01-01-03-04-03-04-07-11-17-18-RE17-14-17-18 This gave P!nk her first long awaited Top 5 hit in the UK since 2008s' number one "So What" peaking at no.3. On my chart it became her 7th Top 10 success and her second chart topper. To date it is my 9th biggest ever hit. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/08/Katy_Perry_-_Part_of_Me.jpg/270px-Katy_Perry_-_Part_of_Me.jpg 02. Part Of Me - Katy Perry Peak: No.1 298 Points/1,192,000 Sales Chart Run: 09-01-01-01-01-02-02-04-06-06-08-10-10-12-14-17-18-15-18-19-18-19-19-20-RE17-15-14-15-13-08 (Still Charting) In my opinion this is Katy at her best and gave the ex-Mrs. Brand her eleventh Top 10 hit staying at number one for four weeks becoming her biggest ever hit selling over a million and is currently my 6th most successful hit. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/47/Nickiminaj_Starships_Pinkfridayromanreloaded.jpg/270px-Nickiminaj_Starships_Pinkfridayromanreloaded.jpg 01. Starships - Nicki Minaj Peak: No.1 357 Points/1,428,000 Sales Chart Run: 08-03-03-02-02-04-07-08-03-01-01-01-01-02-04-06-08-10-10-13-16-14-16-17-19-20-20-RE18-15 (Still Charting) 2x No surprises to who is my number one of 2012, the only and only Nicki Minaj with the mega hit "Starships" which went double Platinum the equivalent to selling 1.2 million copies in the UK where it actually did sell very well but not as much with sales of close to 900k. The video seemed to take forever to be released which did turn out to be a bit of an anti-climax but that didn't stop it from staying at number one for a whole month and eventually became my 2nd biggest hit ever. It is currently just 18 points (72,000 UK sales) behind the number one spot. Edited January 22, 201312 yr by Jack!
