At last! Some Take That news that isn't Gary centric!

I'd so love Jason to make a go of the drama thing (I've seen a little of his previous stuff ... and he shows promise). I'd so love him to make this his direction and leave Take That behind (having said that ... I suppose he knows where his big pay cheque is coming from ... and who can blame him?)

Why would Jason leave TT on the back of a cameo in a series that is ending soon :S

Because he has dabbled in drama before (and been a bit more convincing than Gary was in Heartbeat).

I just get the feeling that Jason isn't entirely satisfied with his place in Take That. I'd rather he did something that made him happy than something that brings in the dollars. He does seem a bit ethereal after all.

If he had shown promise then he wouldn't have been doing nothing acting wise in the 10 years after they broke up.

He seems very intelligent but to say he isn't happy being in TT is a bit silly really. You only have to look at the last performance they did together at the Olympics where he was dancing around and looked like he really enjoyed himself so no Kath I think you're making up a porky there ;)

Jason is simply doing what the likes of Gary is doing, making way of opportunities that come their way. The final series of Shameless will likely go out on a high so it is a good move acting wise for him.
I didnt see his last stint of acting so this will be interesting to see plus i am a big fan of shameless so i wont miss it.
I did not see it either, i am not expecting huge acting talents though when this does air.

You're not going to see much Pippa! He's in a mouse outfit for much of the episode only revealing himself at the end!

He was quite menacing in his performance in Lynda La Plante's Killer Net. Not great - but not bad nevertheless. His performance was a bit better than Gary's was in Heartbeat though (although I quite liked Gary in Heartbeat - then again - I loved Heartbeat when Jason Durr was in it).

I was never a fan of Heartbeat, or maybe i should say i did not see enough of it to become a regular viewer. I never actually saw Gary's performance in Heartbeat, he did appear as himself though didnt he??Or did he play a character?

I only started watching Heartbeat AFTER Nick Berry left and was replaced by Jason Durr and I more or less stopped watching it after Jason left. I've realised - I must have a thing for Jasons! Orange, Durr, Hughes (Sgt Jones in Midsomer).

Gary actually played a character (he couldn't have played himself Pippa - he wouldn't have been born then) silly sausage! His character was a bit (well very) cheesy but there was some nice interaction between his character and Claude Greengrass (Bill Maynard). He got panned for his performance in it but it really wasn't that bad considering he had no acting training.

I remember watching it online a while after it was aired, it was ok but agree on cheesey. Did Gary not later say he felt his performance was terrible or am i dreaming that???

Yeah Gary frequently takes the mick out of himself for how bad he felt it went. Although it was really cheesy I think it could of been a lot worse, his voice sounded great when he sung though! I've copied the links of Gary's performance below for you Pippa
