The deadline for artists and composers to submit their applications for Beosong 2013, the Serbian national selection ends on Monday 21 January in the afternoon. Then a special committee will evaluate all received entries and make their deliberation, and select 15 entries. The names of the lucky 15 acts will most likely be announced in February.

A total of 15 acts will compete at the Beosong semi-final on 2 March. The responsibility of selecting the finalists will lie in the hands of the public, who will play a key role in the semi-final. The Serbian public will vote for their favourite act via SMS voting. The the top 5 acts will earn the right to compete at the Beosong final on 3 March, where they will battle each another in their quest to represent Serbia at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.

Can't be much worse than last year, at least.

The five qualifiers from the semi final and will take be taking part in tonight's final are:

  • Moje 3 – Ljubav je svuda
  • Dušan Svilar – Spas
  • Saška Janković – Duga u tvojim očima
  • SKY’s – Magija
  • Marija Mihajlović – Halo
Moje 3 will be representing Serbia with their song 'Ljubav je svuda'! Dušan Svilar was 2nd and Saška Janković was 3rd. I didn't hear all of the songs, but seems a good choice from Serbia! :D

This was their performance in tonight's final:

It's as if the Balkans are deliberately trying to DNQ this year.

It seems that this is a record-breaking entry selection as Nevena from Moje 3 represented Serbia in Junior Eurovision in 2007! I believe this is the first time a JESC entrant has gone on to represent their country again in ESC!

Here is Nevena's JESC performance in 2007, she finished 3rd out of the 17 participants:

Uncanny. The last time Serbia sent a girlgroup :P

Here seems to be the studio version of 'Ljubav je svuda':

Sounds really good actually, especially the last minute! :D

I think we'd understand what the girl in red represents even without the horns

I prefer something like Lane Moje and Molitva. Those were winners

As someone said before - it's a mess

Yeah it's a bit shit isn't it.

Oh I love that. Looking back at their Eurovision history, it's pleasing to see that the one time Serbia have sent an awful song is the one time they failed to qualify.

Can't tell after one listen whether I'll end up preferring it to last year or not but otherwise it's the best thing they've sent since "Oro".

After godawful "Molitva" and many not good songs...

Very nice and unpredictable surprise from Serbia. I can't believe in it. First song from this country, which I like.

I'd have thought Caroban would've been right up your street Alex! :o

This is fairly decent, which should put it towards the top end of my rankings when I decide to do them again.
