A teenage Pink fan is facing criminal charges after he joked about bringing a bomb to the singer's Australian concert on Sunday (07Jul13).

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was ejected from the So What hitmaker's show at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne after posting the message on his Twitter.com page as Pink took to the stage.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, read, "Pink I'm ready with my Bomb. Time to blow up (the) (Rod Laver Arena) B**ch."

Staff at the arena identified the boy from his Twitter profile picture and he was arrested just 10 minutes into the concert.

The youngster was later released from police custody and is expected to be charged on summons, according to Australia's Herald Sun.

The boy's sister has since spoken out, telling the publication the Tweet was an innocent reference to Pink's song Timebomb, a bonus track on her latest album The Truth About Love.

She says, "He didn't mean it like that. He wrote it as in one of her songs is called Timebomb and he forgot to put the Time on there... It wasn't a prank or anything like that. He told us he was referring to lyrics in a song."

Pink will play seven further performances at the Melbourne arena before concluding her run on 17 July (13).

This is why I love P!nk... Last night she found out about this gorgeous little boy, Calvin. His Mum wrote her a letter explaining that Calvin was her 11 year old down-syndrome son who had just fought cancer. Calvin is a HUGE P!nk fan and used 'The Truth About Love Tour' as a beacon of light when things were tough. When P!nk found out about this, she had a cry and wanted to surprise him - in the middle of the concert she added an extra song to the setlist entitled 'Beam Me Up' from The Truth About Love and dedicated it to him. Then, just before she flew across the audience in her encore of 'So What' she yelled 'I'm coming for ya, Calvin' and flew to the disabled area to wave to him. THAT is a musician. The fact that she so deeply appreciates her fans that she throws in an entire new song... A song which she's never sung live as it causes her too much pain (it's written about the miscarriage she suffered). I read today that Calvin and his Mum were over the moon as they should be! Not only a beautiful voice, but an even better soul. THAT is why I'm so happy to have her name tattooed to my wrist. I hope one day I'll show just as much honesty, love and incredible kindness that P!nk so effortlessly shares. What an inspiration
