This is the start of my 2012 year end chart and as usual it's a real international mix with productions from 24 different countries with 22 productions from the UK and 20 from the US. There are 6 from Italy and 5 each from Romania, Korea and Brazil. The total from the UK is all the more remarkable in that the previous year there were only 6 on the year end chart. Conversely the 17 Romanian productions on the 2011 year end list has reduced sharply to 5 on the 2012 list. No Korean song had ever entered my chart 100 before 2012 and now there are 5. 35 of the songs in this chart are not sung in English with 17 being in Spanish 4 of which are US productions. Of the 22 UK productions in this chart 10 failed to break into the Top 20 in the UK itself in 2012. Bruno Mars and Paula Fernandes both have 3 entries in the chart and Pink, Luan Santana, Michael Kiwanuka, Prince Royce, Nina Zilli, Muse and the Vaccines all have 2. So lets start with ....

100. I'm a mess (Rasmus) - Lead singer Lauri Ylonen was number 20 on my 2011 year end chart with "Heavy" and number 7 in the 2009 year end chart dueting with Annette Olzon on "October and April"

99. Settle down (No Doubt) - comeback song but did not perform too well commercially

98. Telefono occupado (Luis Miguel del Armargue) - first of three acts from the Dominican Republic in the chart

97. I wonder why (Sahara) - first of the 5 Romanian acts in the chart

94. Mr. Simple (Super Junior) - Before 2012 no Korean song had ever entered my chart. This year there are 5 with Super Junior getting international recognition with this song.

93. Dance again (Jennifer Lopez ft Pitbull) - following up their mega collaboration on "On the Floor" from 2011 one of the biggest hits of that year but failing to make my year end Top 100.
