I think that's probably the programme I posted about recently somewhere. I think he was at 8 or 9.

I worry about Gareth as well now. If the documentry was anything to go by, he may not get a smooth run. It could have the reverse effect though. People will realise it was a bit anti and support him even more.

I'm not at all worried about Gareth now. Have you checked out his MySpace. There are so many musicians and artists praising his music. Especially those who have done gigs with him over the last two years (something he was quite keen to keep quiet about on the Documentary, did you notice ;) )

It all bodes well for him I think. Shouldn't be much longer to wait now :cheer:

I really love to read that too Val, but unfortunately being respected by other musicians he comes in contact with, does not mean that the general public will buy his music, so yes I think it wont be easy, but keep my fingers crossed.I know I will be a nervous wreck once he releases, lol :D

I suspect it's the usual suspects starting early now Gareth's been mentioned on the new releases schedule.

 

I'm not sure that as many people read teletext now. I know that I hardly ever do because I watch the terrestial channels via digital and click the red button rather than change channel to use teletext.

I think the people doing the schedule take the info from the HMV site, where the date changed from Feb to March. But Gareth told us last night in his web chat that the single (and I presume the album) will be out in April. The single will be Changes, which he is very passionate about he told us.

He has already done the photos for the album, and the video will be filmed in the next 2 weeks.

He will tell us the exact dates soon. :dance:

I cant wait for the promotion to start, will be great seeing a new video of him, and I want to hear the song in full. :D

Gareth's voice certainly sounds good and the words to the song are very significant! :D Does the tempo speed up or is it a ballad?

Hi Julie and thanks for saying that Gareth's voice sounds good, its a ballad but it speeds up a bit in tempo.

Most of his other songs are upbeat, but he said Changes pretty much sums up the last few years for him. Its about losing relationships and gaining others. Quite emotional for him. But theraputic!

 

It's quite exciting when there is a time to aim at. I'm really glad. I'm looking forward to the promotion. I hope they give him enough to restart.

I'm not a Gareth fan, but I do like the sound of that song though. It's only a short snippet, so I'm not sure, but it seems to lend itself to being part of a musical or perhaps a movie or drama sound track. I'm definitely interested in hearing the full version now anyway

I'm looking forward to hearing "Changes" in full. April isn't that far away I wonder when it will first go to radio. It's usually 6 to 8 weeks before isn't it?

 

I'm not clear about what happens nowadays. Are songs downloadable before the physical single comes out?

It is usually 4-6 weeks for the promotion, so of course we dont know the exact day in April for the release, but my guess would be seeing Gareth is filming the video this or next week (as he told us), that maybe it will be shown end of Feb/Beginning of March on the music channels. Radio play would start then too I think. Songs do get downloaded before release date nowadays, seems its quite important .

I see Darius comes up in the pop forum thread about gareth. quote Mainly the crappy overrated ones Gareth comes under this, as does Darius to a certain extent, not worthy of a place on this forum, imo. When we don't have a forum for the likes of David Bowie.
