January 31, 200718 yr I dont see how they can call both Gareth and Darius overrated, more underrated would be my opinion.
January 31, 200718 yr You would think they would be fed up of this by now. Have they tried to get a David Bowie forum?
February 16, 200718 yr Daily Star today - Joe Mott's column: "Mature Gaz set for a hit Gareth Gates is returning from the wilds of pop obscurity. This is joyous news for all those fans who used to e-mail me about the Pop Idol lad in years gone by. He is finally mounting his comeback after three years of no music and one case of being dropped by a record label. And yesterday his new single landed on my desk. Changes is three minutes of melancholy, piano-led ballad. Sounding huskier-voiced and more mature than the pop squirt we used to know, Gareth has definitely grown up. This one'll get the housewives reaching for their hankies and while I can't say it's my cup of tea - I think Gareth might just have a hit on his hands here. I'm curious to see how you lot react when it's released in early April." :D Julie
February 16, 200718 yr Thanks for posting that up Julia. Quite a good article from Joe Mott :D Should be getting the video and some appearances in a week or so now I would think. Beginning of April's not that far away

February 18, 200718 yr I saw an aritcle in one of the papers this weekend, comparing Gareth's and Ben(bloke from x factor) new singles, and Gareth's came out far better in the reviews, the journo predicted a hit for him. I must admit I think Gareth is a lot more goiing for him than that Ben I am gargling on gravel bloke
February 20, 200718 yr POPJUSTICE LIVE IS GO! On Wednesday, the first Popjustice Live event will be held in central London. Trademark have been added to the bill and you can hear what Trademark sound like at their Myspace page here. We should also point out the same night is also the evening of the Gareth Gates showcase... this was on the popjustice newsletter. I didn't even know Gareth had a showcase planned. Edited February 20, 200718 yr by megham
February 20, 200718 yr Megham we did not know about it either, but it looks like its for the media, I hope they will like what they hear, I suppose it depends on that how the reviews in the papers will be. I think it might be a similar showcase as Gareth did for some fans in Nov, and he was fantastic then, so I keep my fingers crossed. Gareth has put some little video interviews on his myspace speaking about the music, and how for the first time he is really proud of the music, because its him. And he mentions that he was not aloud before to really do the music he is passionate about. So so pleased he is away from Cowell/BMG.
February 20, 200718 yr Its great knowing that Gareth is back (well nearly), but I have to say its also very nerve wracking, one never knows how things will go, and lots of good songs dont do that well. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed, lol We may get some feedback from the showcase in some papers. : :D
February 20, 200718 yr I wish they had said where and when. It'd be interesting to see how it goes. Yes, I'd love to know as well. Think there might be a stampede if it got out though. Everyone has been waiting for so long, there'd be no holding back :D I hope everything goes well for Gareth tomorrow and that they all give him a fair and impartial listen before making up their minds. Must say, I'm pretty churned up inside at the moment
February 21, 200718 yr Fingers crossed for the showcase. I'm sure he'll do great. After all, he's singing and playing his own stuff. It's bound to mean much more to him. I wish Changes would show up on the release schedule.
February 21, 200718 yr Gareth has updated his site with news of the single. Changes will be released 9th April and the album title will be `Pictures Of The Other Side'. No date for release yet
February 22, 200718 yr I can empathise with Gareth fans, the thrill of hearing new music and knowing he is back, but the churning inside that he will not be appreciated, and the songs do not sell as they rightly should imo. I have heard some snippets and they sound great, let's hope he gets the backing from the radio stations and the media too.
February 23, 200718 yr Have you heard anything about when the first radio play will be yet, hasso? megham, I've tried but I think the US is out of 'wish range'. Edited February 23, 200718 yr by Baytree
February 23, 200718 yr We've heard nothing about the Radio play yet Baytree. But things are seeping out every day at the moment, so we could hear any time. Can't be much longer though can it. Its only six weeks to 9th April  Gareth put a lovely blog on his Official site yesterday. They filmed parts of the showcase and he's promised to put bits of it up on the site soon.
