Posted August 19, 200618 yr Source: Mardy-Bum Domino Records have announced that the new single released in the US will be 'Fake Tales Of San Francisco'. No official release date has been set as of yet but we will be sure to update you with the information as soon as we get it. For now, though, you can watch the video on Domino's website - QUICKTIME | WINDOWS MEDIA | REAL And for some reason, this is the "old" version of 'Fake Tales...' which you may remember from the 'Five Minutes With Arctic Monkeys' EP, released back in May 2005. The video is also the same. Meanwhile, all of you UK fans should be buying your copies of 'Leave Before The Lights Come On' which has been out since Monday. Domino Mart sales are currently not counting towards the official charts but you can Click Here to download the single via 7 Digital. Good choice for the US but I wonder why it's the old version?
August 19, 200618 yr I reckon it the old version becuase of the swearingin the new version. -_- I think Fake Tales will do alright in the States. ^_^
August 19, 200618 yr Its difficult to predict how this will do stateside, as some of the stuff I think will do well in the USA dosent (like Blur, for insteance). This may just be different enough for them to do well, though! :cheer:

August 21, 200618 yr I think this is probably one of the best tracks they could have chosen for a release. :D It should hopefully be quite a fair sized hit. :)
August 21, 200618 yr Author Well I think it's the one that Americans are most likely to pay attention to anyway myself ;) don't know how well it'll do but it'll get a little attention at least. :D
