Should make it into the United World Chart again this week in that case :cheer:

Scotty.. Are you sure ... I would have thought it would have to sell at least 40k or am I mixing it up with the Global Track Chart..... Where can I see the United World Chart.

it must sell in excess of 40.000 copies to re enter the global charts.. which still are fake.. mediatraffic uses a mix of points and sales for their global albums chart, cause germany for example doesn't release sales figures for their albums... They even have IC on their alltime list with salesof 4.0 million BUT everyone knows that it sold in excess of 6m and shipped well over 7m.

Great for an album so experimental and one that got no promo really. :yahoo:

Suprised it fell in Germany considering the single has been such a hit.

It hasn't fallen in Germany, it has risen. It is No.19. I think.

it was #19 last week it fell 10 spots this week

have to add:

Austria: #41(#35)

Netherlands: #36(#33)

Total european sales this week: ~11.500 copies.

I just realised, 51 pages on, I never did review this album did I?

In short - I like it but it's not as good as his older stuff (and by that I mean his singles, as I don't have his older albums).

There ^_^

What an informative review. :o :P

You should buy some of his older albums if you see then cheap, his older album tracks are miles better than so many of his singles imo. ^_^

so we need chartruns from mexico, poland, greece, belgium.. etc. to complete it.. i complete the spanish chartrun on it now.

I spotted a sign outside a hotel yesterday advertising a CD & Vinyl sale for one day. ( some guys over from the UK for the day with a massive record collection )

I went in & found a Special Collectors Edition ( In mint condition ) of Sin When Your Winning.... contains Enhanced Video Section of Better Man & Phoenix From The Flames Live .. Photo Gallery & Bonus Track ' Often ' live. Cost 15.00 Euro... but I could not believe my luck...

It had to be brief, can't be bothered to review it now

I did consider buying 'Sing When You're Winning' when it was out, but then he made that awful swing album and I decided against it

Sing When Your Winning is one of his best.... come great tracks one after the other & should have been given plenty of Airplay but never really did...If It's Hurting You / Singing Fot The Lonely / Love Calling Earth / Knutsford City Limits /By All Means Necessary / Forever Texas.....

all on one Album ..... songs that he never sings now which is a real pity... There are not many artists out there today who have as many songs to their collections which are songs of real substance.....

Rob can certainly when he puts his mind to it write some great songs......

I agree. There are very few of his album tracks off his first 3 albums that would'nt have been big hit singles. Sing When Your Winning in particual is like a Greatest Hits album, just amazing, every single song is a classic, Better Man is one of my all time fave Rob songs.

Life Thur A Lens is my all time fave album though, followed by I've Been Expecting you. He is so consistant when it comes to quaility albums. B)

This is for Argentina but they only have a chart every two weeks going by this site.

I completely agree, Sing When You're Winning is one of his best albums. It was my very first Robbie album and I only bought it because I liked Rock DJ and decided to give the album a chance instead of buying the single and boy was I amazed. Better Man is one of the best songs ever. That's the song that pushed me over the edge and made me a fan, along with Singing For The Lonely, By All Mean Necessary etc etc.

I'd say my all time favourite Robbie album would be I've Been Expecting You. I always listen to that one without skipping any tracks.

When you look at all of Rob's albums he's the only artist that's consistently written quality songs, as you say TessaT, songs of real substance. Usually with artists the more albums they put out the weaker they get but with Rob he gets stronger with every new album and that's a rarity in the music industry.
