James Blunt hits 40 chart weeks with You're Beautiful.

At No. 3 is Eros Ramazotti & Anastacia with I Belong To You - it's about time this great single got a UK release.

Highest of 17 new entries are Sugababes.

 

Although it has spent 23 weeks on the chart Melanie C's First Day Of My Life has yet to gain a UK release.

Typical of the UK record companies as this is her best single in years and would be a sure fire top 5 hit depending on how many people (like me) have got it on import.

 

The UK record companies would rather release all that US rubbish and boyband stuff than much of the good stuff. Same with Eros & Anastacia.
