The streaming chart this week is:

1. Harlem Shake

2. Thrift Shop

3. Started From the Bottom

4. Love Me

11. When I Was Your Man

And the airplay chart is:

2. Thrift Shop

11. When I Was Your Man

35. Love Me

36. Stay

40. Started From the Bottom

It's ridiculous how far behind radio airplay is. :drama:

98 million STREAMS?!

Yeah. Even Gangnam Style would've only peaked around 30 million probably. It's because Harlem Shake has hundreds of videos of it going viral, as opposed to just a few for Gangnam Style. It's already down from last week though (where it had about 103 million iirc). Hopefully it decreases faster, because I like the song, but I can't cope with it being #1 for 12 weeks or something ridiculous.

Even if Gangnam Style had peaked around 30 million, it still would've lifted it to #1 off Maroon 5 easily. Harlem Shake is horrible though so I hope something replaces it soon. :(

Yeah definitely. Gangnam Style was VERY close to being #1 on a couple of weeks, even 5 million Youtube views would've probably got it to #1 on its closest week.

That YouTube addition is really ridiculous, that would lead to hundreds of so call Viral videos attempts per week and ridiculous dance moves... Justin Bieber'Baby had 800 millions and twice as many dislikes as likes.. Same for Rebecca Black's Friday: that's the main examples why views are not important... I could just view a video because it's viral but wouldn't buy the single... Should people's curiosity be counted as the same as people's likeness of a song??? I guess not.. That's why this YouTube/streaming totally ruined the chart... sales is the real indicator of a song's success , other means are just Not real....

I couldn't agree with you more!

Olly's at #37 :) His first top 40 hit in US! So proud :')

Shouldn't he be higher up... His single was top 20 the whole week on iTunes and his airplay is rising... I guess his YouTube views are not enough....

Hoping Emeli and Olly have good decent positions. Come on British.

Yeah I hope so too... Emeli might have a good jump next week as the song has been doing well on iTunes.

Olly just needs to get all his US fans to post parodies of his 'Troublemaker' video on YouTube. He'd soon shoot up to #1. :D

it seems.the inclusion.of Youtube views in the.US helped rap/R&B songs since most of the songs going up are from.that genre.... on.the other hand country songs are.getting fewer...

Drake & Lil Wayne have been helped enormously.
