You've never seen Robbie's album artwork??
Nope, sorry  . I even live in Germany where he is very loved, but i think when there are tons of CDs every year if you don't look for something you will hardly remember how it looks.

I'm not that excited about it tbh, I'm more excited to hear Robbie's duet with Dizzee Rascal (more intrigue if anything)

Well he is, no maybe - mark's releasing a solo album and is still a TT member and funnily Gary is still one as well after his 'solo' tour

I'm fine here but thanks for your concern Iris!

Well Mark was in TT all the time weil Robbie was out for some tours, isn't it? If Mark would have had a forum by himself i would have written there and not here, for sure! Plus there are a lot of Robbie fans who are not TT fans and makes the discussion very interesting . As here was a tiiiny discution about Mark, i haven't see the point for you to discuss here your excitment for Robbie when you have do it in better places . But well, no problem, perhaps is still someone not knowing that you don't like Mark's music

A TT forum talks about TT including the people in TT. Until I see official (not hearsay) confirmation that he has left the band or indeed anyone has left the band I will along with most I'm sure consider the group as a 5 that can also operate as a 4.

Robbie is releasing new music around the same time as mark and they are both in the same group so it's interesting to draw comparisons and share opinions Iris

My opinion on Marks music is irrelevant. The music he made previously is very dated now in the same way as Gary's albums are. 4 minute warning was good, I just see Marks album being progress orientated (although I'm sure you'll love it no matter how fantastic or indeed how bad it is)

I just hope that this is a nice warm up for him before the mysterious TT album comes out (if it does!)

Actually i am not sure if i will like it or not. He wrote some songs for other people lately and i was not impressed (i call them "second hand songs" - similar to Gary's input for other not so well known artists). And not even Depeche Mode or REM, who are my most beloved bands, have every album on my taste.

I do hope if the album is electric that it will be stripped down as that was my main problem with Progress : too noisy, too much sound, too many things going on the same time. I like more clear. Perhaps that is way that Pretty things was one of my favs on the album. So much going on worked well on The Circus, because it was brass and violins and they work mixed much better than electro mixed with all possible instruments.

Yeah I agree, like songs they have written and just left to one side.

Yeah there was a lot of commotion and noise in progress, although I love the flood, love love, and WWWY I do hope they go back to rule the world/shine styled music. I love the strings in the circus as well so hopefully they will make a reappearance

Im actually starting to get excited about this album, which i didnt expect, there does appear to be more of a buzz around this album than previous releases from.

Video for 'Stars' has landed. Single's out on Sunday...I really like this! It's a really strong song.

Also there's this piece behind the scenes from the studio where he made the album from the BBC News website:

It's a good song, I hear a bit of a cross between we all fall down from BW with a progress esc pace and tone to it. (Albeit one of the calmer tracks on the album)

If I was being critical I would say that it sounds like a TT b-side but hopefully for him he'll get a top 20 or higher with this. Does anyone know when it is actually released? Or if there is any promo planned?
